Just a generic thought
Whats the purpose of having a bachelor pad in the same city when one has been living in the same city since years with parents

Any actor coming to mumbai leaving his parents back in delhi or any other city , its well understood he has to have a bachelor pad if he is single.

Or at all if a actor is getting married soon and wants new space, its understood to shift to new home with wife.

Or two dating actors deciding to explore each other through live in relationship plan to move in bachelor pad. Understood.

But seriously its strange Priyanka chopra, Alia Bhatt , Ranbir Kapoor etc etc have their own homes in mumbai. Isnt it boring to wake up without seeing your moms face or her scolding. I understand those high funda gyan stuff #being independent , #swabhimaani and all.

But they already stay tight schedule , travelling to different locales for shoot. In one way they are not getting time with family. In addition they themselves are alienating by opting for bachelor pads.

Most funny. Hrithik Roshan ,He is getting older and after divorce he should stay with parents looking after them, but he s having bachelor pad at 43 yrs 😆

Only one conclusion that can be derived is : They need separate homes , so that they can call home their non committed partners for sleeping together and facing no question from parents.

And must be freedom to get their friends over, whenever they want...platonic friends, i mean.Having guys night out, or girls night out, etc...

Also they must be having lots of visitors for work as well as personal reasons, so having a separate apartment wont bother their parents with their visitors.

But it is weird to stay in the same area and yet stay separate.

Most people have their separate house when they become independent. What's the big deal about it ?

Not in India... it is more prevalent post marriage...but everybody cannot afford a bachelor's pad. People still dont leave their parents, post becoming independent...at least in middle class families, if house is big enough, then even post marriage, son and daughter in law stay with the parents.

I don't get it?
I guess they live separately maybe because they have schedules, lifestyles that are waaay different from normal people..
Parents can be distracting sometimes lol, especially if you peeps are close, we always feel like talking to them, and they to us.. you feel hungry, and go down to get something from fridge, papa stops you and both get lost talking laughing and so on... and you forget about what you were doing. It happens to us non-celeb peeps itself! Sometimes when i'm studying, I refuse to get out of my room when I hear my parents... they are major distraction lol.

So, it's understandable why actors move out - they have totally different lifestyles. It's not like they will never meet their parents? lol.. I think people like Alia can meet parents almost everyday unless consumed by work.

I love the idea of staying with parents but in houses side by side :-) ..it's my dream... when I'll get rich one day 😭

True...still it's a bit strange. I feel parents are not there for lifetime. Time is slipping every moment and people realise it late. Still to each his own.

I have seen many rich families having multiple flats in same city .But they don't stay. Just kept it as investment. For stars their mindset may be totally opposite

Many people love their own privacy and there's nothing bad about living independently. They take homes where their parents live nearby to feel the comfort of having their loved ones nearby and plus have their own privacy too. It used to happen in foreign countries where kids after 15-16 used to move out but now it's common in India too.

some people dont want that scolding i guess. what u may find it caring and affectionate, may be downright annoying to them? idk. and plus privacy. once u start living alone, u wont wanna go back to staying with parents as much.
