Just as I expected...they cut out all of Fawad's scenes which didnt have Ranbir in them. That made Ali-Alizeh relationship dynamics depiction a lot to be desired. I remembered Bharadwaj questioning the lack of jealousy in both men(Ali and Saba's ex-husband).

I think he did love Alizeh. He didnt have to go back and propose to her if he didnt. This scene makes it clear that Alizeh is the jealous types and hence she always suspected that Ali was cheating on her. He might have done it before but not after they get married. Even when she tells Ayan about their breakup she isnt sure he cheated on her. She was always suspicious and looking for proof that he did cheat and thats why instead of always being tensed that he is cheating on her she decides to break up.
