Why do we worry so much about a producers profit?

What an actor must do is increase his/her fanbase with every outing.Fans are consumers..they are the market.Power of an actor grows with the size of his/her market.

Today Alia is a big star..she had 1 hit in her last 4 outings, and 3 hits in her career..but in all films except her debut film..she was amazing.

BOI says that Befikre will DOUBLE investment even if the film stumbles at the BO.
But how does that help Ranveer?

Unless he wows audience and critics-a hit status does nothing for him

^well supposed insider reports are doing well for him. This is the first "urban" full out romcom for Ranveer, so unless the film is crass and awful I can't see it not growing his fanbase in at least a little way.
