That's not entirely true. Many actors or actresses can't act and their films still do well.

I liked sonam in neerja more ... Btw when did actors NOT contribute to a character or the movie ? ... That statement is completely illogical .. Ya movies with bad actors can do well .. But saying an biographical movie with the central character being appreciated, without the actor acting well is just silly ...

Alia is a good but i think the media play around her is way too strong .. Every performance is hailed as breakthrough which it is not ...

Nepotism toh dono taraf hai ... Just kjo has a bigger network .. So is it war of the insiders ???

I'll put my vote in for sonam .. She acted fantastically in a movie with no male star and it was a commercial hit too ...

People are here acting as if KJO is the king of Bollywood. Alia got the best actor female award.Do you think that Sonam's career has ended forever. Sonam needs to accept her defeat gracefully and move on gracefully and give a award winning powerful performance next time. If Alia can improve from SOTY even Sonam can improve.
