Crack postponed to 2018: No CLASH between Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh K

Yes, the Akshay Kumar-Neeraj Pandey film will now release in 2018...

Just a few days before Rustom hit theatres, Akshay Kumar's next was announced. Neeraj Pandey launched a captivating teaser poster of his next film Crack. And asked the audience to save the release date. Independence Day 2017.

Now, Imtiaz Ali has almost completed shooting for his film with Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma, tentatively titled The Ring and has a little bit of work left. The makers unveiled the first look from the romantic drama and it's beautiful. They also mentioned the release date for the film. August 11, 2017.

The moment the first look came, everyone went berserk about the SRK-Akshay clash that was going to happen next August. But now, we can confirm that Crack has been postponed to a later date. Now it will release sometime in 2018.

Once again, two Bollywood superstars were set to clash with their films on the same holiday weekend. Shah Rukh Khan's next with Imtiaz Ali tentatively titled The Ring and Akshay Kumar's next with Neeraj Pandey titled Crack were vying for the same release date. But now, the clash has been averted.

Crack has been postponed to a later date, sometime in 2018. And there's a huge reason why! A source from the trade reveals, "Crack has been pushed to 2018. Akshay already has Jolly LLB 2, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and the biggie 2.0 releasing in quick succession next year. Jolly LLB 2 releases on February 10 next year. Toilet will come mid-next year around June-July. And Robot 2 is scheduled for a big Diwali release. So it's extremely difficult for Akki to fit in another film in between these ones."

The source added, "He also has to shoot for the film which has not even begun rolling. So in no way will Crack be ready before time. And he won't clash with SRK too." So now you know why the release date has bene pushed ahead...
