agree with @cougartown...it's a decent watch not bad...

I think it would have been better to stick with the title Durga Rani Singh instead of Kahaani 2.

Watched it. And really liked it. The first half is stellar! Rivetting and will keep you on the edge of your seats. Loved the way child abuse has been handled with subtlely and yet it would hit you hard...seeing how real the situation Mini was in.
The second half starts off well but it starts getting sloppy and predicatble in the last15-20 minutes! Otherwise I liked the second half too. If you don't compare the movie with K1, which was a masterpiece, you won't be regretting. I always knew it was a hard task to match the standard of the first part hence wasn't expecting much. But a very, very good watch! One of the best movies of this year IMO.

All actors performed brilliantly! Especially Arjun! We all knew Vidya would be splendid but Arjun surprised me! The first time in many years I loved every bit of him on screen! I kind of wanted more interactions between Durga and Inder!
Jugal was very good and creeped me out in some scenes!
VB is perfect! One can watch the movie only for the performances! They are that good! Too bad actresses who could not even do half of what Vidya did in K2, will end up getting awards! Sigh!

Here's my review of Kahaani 2 -

Apart from Neerja, this is the only film of this year which I genuinely loved & enjoyed! Not for a moment I got bored. It is a thriller-drama with a strong message, and I must applaud Sujoy Ghosh for bringing up such a sensitive topic like Child abuse and handling it in such a dignified manner. The film does have repeat value & the content of the film is so good, it'd have gained cult status if it was executed in a better way! Anyways its still a bloody great movie. The film has one of the best ever first halves. The first half totally keeps you engaged and thrills you. It does give a strong vibe of a suspense thriller. Yes, there are few flaws in second half & some dips but which film doesn't? Even Neerja wasn't flawless, no movie can be flawless, even I can point flaws in Kahaani as well. So I don't really like the way how critics panned the film because of the second half. It doesn't take away all the credit from the entire film! Go for it, its a must watch!

Now coming to performances, call me biased or say that I'm exaggerating things but I'm not going OTT, VIDYA has given a national award winning performance. I'm not saying this because she's my favorite. She's genuinely has delivered a Top Notch Unparalleled performance! My bow down to her _/\_ How can she do that EVERYTIME!!! Indian Cinema is blessed to have her. A benchmark for all the actresses for this and next-gen actors. Its really saddens me that she's not gonna get any award not even critics one just because of this unfair system/inside influencers. She'll totally get sidelined and unnoticed because of these overhyped untalented starkids' so called great acts :( If not National Award Best actress, I really hope somehow she gets Best Actress National Jury Award :)

feel they should not have revealed Arjun was her husband...should have done it in the climax...IMO that could have been unpredictable...

Let's see 😭 I hope same thing happens to her like what has happened to Kangana this year. Like I was pretty cool with it even though she didn't get any best actress in these award shows but atleast she won national award for TWMR so I was happy. I just wish same thing happens to Vidya 😛 Fingers crossed!
