Meri Pyaari Bindu first look: Ayushmann-Parineeti's rom-com from Yash Raj promises fun and frolic

Yash Raj Films released the first look of their film Meri Pyaari Bindu starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Parineeti Chopra on Friday.

After scoring a hit with Yash Raj Film's Dum Laga Ke Haisha in 2015, Ayushmann Khurrana is back with another quirky romantic comedy. His upcoming Meri Pyaari Bindu features Parineeti Chopra as the female lead and its makers released the first look of the film on Friday.

Ayushmann Khurrana plays Abhimanyu Roy while Parineeti Chopra plays the titular Bindu Madbur. Directed by debutant director Akshay Roy, the film's soundtrack has been composed by Befikre music-directors Vishal and Shekhar while Varun Grover has penned the lyrics.

The film has been shot mostly in Kolkata. Shooting began in May 2016 and got over in October.

While not much has been revealed about the film, Meri Pyaari Bindu's makers did release two promos early in the year.

The first featured Parineeti Chopra singing a song after which she looks into the camera and says that she is singing a song in her own voice for the first time in her upcoming film Meri Pyaari Bindu.

The second promo featured on Ayushmann Khurrana's character Abhimanyu Roy who is revealed to be a pulp novelist based in Kolkata.

Meri Pyaari Bindu will release in theatres on May 12 next year.
