He's just the best. I know him and Kumar Sanu are always compared with one another but I love them both. Or perhaps I'm a tiny bit biased towards Udit because of the sweetness in his voice and the cuteness of his personality<3 He used to judge Indian Idol and he's just the cutest, sweetest, most gentle humble soul ever!!! ❤️

And yesss I love Kitna Bechain Hoke from Kasoor and also Zindagi Ban Gaye Ho Tum from the same movie. Meri saanson mein basa hai is another one of my all time favourites and Kaisa Khumar Hai from the same movie. Makes me miss Bobby Deol too :'( Udit has so many amazing songs!!!! <3

..I don't miss him, because I listen to some of my favourites of his songs! But yes, wish he still continued singing :) ..his voice/singing when he was young was just... out of this world though.. ❤️

Yes, what a lovely voice. His voice suited SRK so much. Seemed like he sung those songs.

Kumar Sanu- Tera Mera Pyaar is a favourite <3

I do miss him, but i always listen to his songs very frequently, but sad, that he isnt singing much like he did in his era.

His voice is so different. A bit of sweetness, soulfulness and it makes you feel really connected to his songs, just like Kumar Sanu. But i always loved Udit Narayan more than Kumar Sanu.

I heard that from some other singer that whenever he sings, he always has a smile on his face. No wonder, we always feel happy and have a smile upon our face when we sing along his songs.

And his voice is best ft for SRK. it is like SRK singing. That is a magical thing.

My favourite songs of his are
1. pehla nasha
2. kuch kuch hota hai
3. teri aakhon mein basa hai,
4. main yahan hoon yahan
5. humko humise chura lo
6.hogaya hai tujhko toh pyaar sajna
7.chaha hai tujhko
8. mehendi laga ke rakhna
9. jaadu teri nazar
10, boli si surat
11. tere naam
12.dil kya kare
AND MANY MORE.

Why do so many people feel this way? 😕
I've been hearing it for YEARS.
Every generation says this.
15 years ago, in the early 2000's people were saying "80s ke gaane bahut achche teh yaar" etc
And the generation before that believed late 60s was best, and so on...

The truth is:
1. The music we grow up listening to remains our "golden era" forever.
2. There has always been GREAT songs and TERRIBLE songs in every era.
When people grow older, the NOSTALGIA of the songs they heard in their youth overbears their ability to open up to new sounds. There really IS great music out there today, and LOTS of it.

My analysis. 😃

EDIT: I listen to songs from the 1940s to 2016

nostalgia thing samjh main ata hai ..per its a truth that we dont have any true singer in this new young generation who can be named with the likes of sonu , kumar , udit narayan ...because these three were real last playback singers their vocies was so clear plus sute every actor they sing for...this is not the case today...no one care for playback now

I disagree entirely. Arijit Singh is tremendously talented. Mohit Chauhan too. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan is there. Ankit Tiwari. They all have that magic. For this generation they are Udit-Kumar-Sonu-Abhijeet. My friend, we all fall victim to nostalgia. It's so widespread. 😉

Trust me, ask anyone older than 45 about Udit-Kumar-Sonu, and they will say NO Kishore Kumar and Rafi were the best. And they WILL NOT BUDGE. 😆

😉 i can easily prove you wrong :P look at these songs and look the way srk look like when he lypsych these voices ...its like srk is faking ...

WIth mohit chahaun

this is what the review writer of this album said...
"Saans, which goes the Do Pal (Veer-Zaara) way for a Yash Raj, and the Tu Muskura/Tu Meri Dost Hai (Yuvvraaj) way for Rahman. The intense feel of the track is heightened by Gulzar's sensual lyrics that highlight the intimacy and sexual tension between the protagonists played by Khan and Kaif. The tune does make you reminisce the above-mentioned tracks, albeit in a good way. The old-school orchestration and epic feel of the music is fused with pro-modern beats and arranged with the subtle dholak. The flute, Shreya Ghoshal's grounded aalaap, and the piano pieces in the interludes strike the right balance between classic romanticism and tension, which is what tracks from Chopra's previous films (Yeh Kahaan Aa Gaye Hum from Silsila; Aage Bhi Jaane Na Tu from Waqt) and Rahman's compositions (Tu Hi Tu from Kabhi Na Kabhi; the title track and Satrangi Re from Dil Se...) have highlighted over the years. Shreya Ghoshal sings with the kind of earnestness and fluidity one could expect from a female vocalist in this song, and kills it. As she sings with utter honesty and heart, she is complimented by an odd choice of Rahman's favorite from Rockstar, the voice of "Jordan", Mohit Chauhan. While one does wonder upon Rahman's uncanny choice for a track of this scale, Chauhan's voice seems to grow on you with more listens. This, however, doesn't warrant it's suitability to Shahrukh's overall caliber, which would be matched by Sonu Nigam more than Chauhan." Planet bollywood

Arijit singh with gerua

arijit with kashmir main tu kaniya kumari (SRK)

Same with Salman khan and rahat fateh ali khan odd lypsynch combination ...(although rahat is technically a great singer but he can not be called as playback singer ..this used to be something a voice suiting the actor"

the odd combination of akshey kumar and arijit singh ...they dont compliment each other

Now watch any song of udit , sonu , k.sanu on these actors and feel the difference of how well they suited all the actors perfectly 😛😃
