Yeah, his current PR does a shoddy job. He needs to give up the playboy image and start finding something new.
@bold: Interesting. I hear similar things. Care to elaborate? I look at RK as the guy who became a star without having that "bravado/swagger" of a star. His biggest weightage of becoming a star is his lineage. He plays the insecure characters/man-child..maybe that's why that star trait doesn't shine through.
As for the flops, he's had many before but it probably din't hit him till BV. I mean if he carries the baggage of the biggest movie disaster in recent memories.. then it's bound to affect him. He very explicitly stated in FF interview that he feels a hit will give him "peace of mind" and not feel "caged". Maybe ADHM's success will help him find his bearings and grow a thicker skin for the future.
Stardom is intrinsic quality that separates stars from actors.
Some are effortless stars like Sanjay Dutt. Nothing and I mean affects their star power- personal, professional, hits , flops. If they are on screen, it doesn't matter how the good co-star is, how good looking the co-star is, audience will always be drawn to these people.
Some gain it slowly with each success. And once that happens. They get that glow. If you see Badtameez Dil you will know what I am saying. Ranbir practically rules the stage. And then watch Matargashti. It doesn't matter what role stars are playing. They can't switch off that glow.
They have to keep on believing they are the best thing happening to their movie. Any negativity that comes with last movie should be shrugged off. They can't let anyone one outshine them. Ever.
