OT: Kekta was always frugal. Her mom is in charge of Balaji office and finances and shes always cost cutting as I have heard from people.
Its good news that Balaji is stopping film production, their cost cutting tendencies made their films look tackier than others.
God, I hope Kekta also stops making serials. Or at least END the torture shows which are going on since Jurassic age...YHM and KKB!

from akbar badshah to neula, it was quite funny. someone i know said to me "ye last drame main akbar badshah tha ab bechara neula banke rehgaya"

Wow. It is really disgusting how derogatory some of these comments towards TV stars are. Absolutely appalled. They work their asses off for 12 hour shifts to entertain their audiences and have millions of people that follow them and wait every day to watch them onscreen. If you cannot appreciate do not mock! And if you are so interested in Pakistani programs and Pakistani heroes, go watch them and don't worry about Indian TV stars, they have MORE than enough admirers! 😛

And instead of spewing nonsense, do a fact check. A lot of these actors were never interested in Bollywood films and are very content in playing diverse lead roles on television.

I respect your opinion but none of the comments are deregotary here. Firstly even of tv actors work hard to play a mockery like na agun or mongoose they will be trolled maybe not by us but by majority. Secondly what's so versatile in playing a single character for decades ? It's just a reflection of their addiction towards fame and money right? Don't make it sound like they do it for free and is providing free entertainment to audience , it's a trend and if their work is hurting once intellect then they will be trolled.

Lastly Pakistani dramas and heroes are not the only reason for Indian tv actors to be mocked, I know many Pakistanis are fans of Indian tv actors and they defend these actors with blood and sweat so it's not necessary that web an Indian likes a Pakistani actor then she is considered to be disrespectful towards Indian actors

When TV stars dont have the ability they say 'Oh I am not interested in movies'. The ones who do have the ability go on to become BW stars even from Indian TV whether its Vidya or Manoj Bajpai or Ashutosh Rana or SRK or SSR.

Anyway you being a fan I will for now take your word that didi is happy playing asthamatic rajkumaris on Indian TV. But I will certainly find out soon if you are right or my assumption about lack of ability is right. 😉

All: Dont bash Rajat. He is very talented. Much more than any BW starkid. Bas thoda height kam hain! Lekin height toh bhagwaan ne nahin diya...uski kya galti hain?

I'm glad you respect my opinion. I do agree with you myself that some of the content on television is quite pathetic but my issue was just with the derisive tone of some of the statements made against Indian TV stars and Ekta Kapoor. Again, by saying that "they" are playing a single character for decades you are making a grand generalization and undermining the individual's work. It's not an easy job and it's no cakewalk and what they earn is more than well deserved for the toiling work they do! And yes! The fact of matter is that these TV actors DO entertain audiences and a lot of them are more recognizable for the common public than Bollywood stars! You talk about them playing the same roles...now mind you I haven't followed any of Rajat's work but if playing Akhbar in one show and a mongoose in another is not versatility then I don't know what is! And regarding Ekta, she has built an empire with her two hands as a woman which is no small feat and she deserves to be lauded for that rather than mocked!

And regarding Pakistani actors, I don't understand the need to bring in Fawad Khan into this thread, I only mentioned him because he was brought into the peripheral of this discussion, that too, while mockingly putting down an Indian TV star which I think was uncalled for.
