Ae Dil Hai Mushkil did good business on Monday as it jumped around 35% on the holiday. The film benefited in mass markets due to the holiday. The jump was lesser in the multiplexes as the opening was there on Friday. the film took a big opening in South and that has not jumpes much as it was not affected by pre Diwali. It has collected 51.75 crore nett so far in four days. The first four day business of Ae dil Hai Mushkil is as follows.
Friday - 13,04,00,000
Saturday - 12,50,00,000
Sunday - 8,75,00,000
Monday - 17,75,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 51,79,00,000
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil should continue to do well on Tuesday as its a part holiday and this should benefit the film and then all things become normal on Wednesday and it will be Wednesday that will indicate the first week number.
Shivaay showed a huge jump on Monday as collections were around 70% up from day one. This was because the mass markets came to the fore as was expected and single screens generally were recording full houses due to the big holiday. The film had a low weekend but the Monday figure has put it back in the race and today is a partial holiday and again mass centres perform well which could aid the film. The film was doing very strong numbers in the Central India belt of Rajastan, CP Berar and CI and alos in Bihar. Both Rajathan and CP Berar both crossed 1 crore nett which only Sultan has managed this year on any single day. The first four day business of Shivaay is as follows.
Saturday - 8,25,00,000
Sunday - 6,50,00,000
Monday - 15,75,00,000
TOTAL - 39,95,00,000
Shivaay should have another solid performance due to the partial holiday for Bhai Dooj and like Ae Dil Hai Mushkil it will be Wednesday that will decide where the week is going and give an indication to where the film is heading.
