Box office collection: Shivaay (Shivay) may overtake Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (ADHM) in coming days

Box office collection of Shivaay has almost been at par with that of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (ADHM) in the last couple of days.

Two Bollywood movies Shivaay (Shivay) and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (ADHM) have been running successfully at the box office with not much difference between their collection. Although Karan Johar's film is ahead of Ajay Devgn's action drama, the latter has bridged the gap to great extent in the last couple of days.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil had opened up at the Indian box office with impressive collection on Friday, beating Shivaay by over Rs 3 crore. The opening day earning of ADHM was Rs 13.30 crore nett and that of Shivaay was Rs 10.24 crore.

Karan's romantic drama remained strong over Shivaay at the box office even in the subsequent days of the first weekend. ADHM collected Rs 13.10 crore on Saturday and Rs 9.20 crore on Sunday, while Shivaay could do a business of Rs 18.32 crore, combining the second and third day.

However, the box office scenario witnessed a big change since Monday as both the films collected almost at par on the fourth day. ADHM collected Rs 17.75 crore and Shivaay earned Rs 17.35 crore nett at the domestic market. The Ajay-starrer pounced back strong since then and continued giving tough fight to the multi-starrer ADHM.

Although ADHM put Shivaay behind by over Rs 2 crore on Tuesday, the collection again was almost same on Wednesday. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil collected Rs 13.03 crore on Tuesday and Rs 7.63 crore on the next day. On the other side, Shivaay made a collection of Rs 11.05 crore and Rs 7.40 crore on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.

The total 6 day collection of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil stood at Rs 74.01 crore nett and that of Shivaay was Rs 64.36 crore; thus the difference in collection for the two films came down to just Rs 10 crore. It is seen that the percentage of drop in collection of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is much more than that of Shivaay.

The sudden rise of Ajay's film at the box office received much attention and it is being predicted that the movie's day-wise collection may overtake Ae Dil Hai Mushkil's earnings in the coming days.

This is just silly. Why do veterans like Ajay and Roshans do that? They just lose goodwill and nothing else.

I will never understand who died and made BOI the benchmark of BO results...100 kamine died ..tab ye BOI paida hua...sabse bade kameene aur makkar🤢...why do u have to calibrate BO numbers against the BOI figures??
