Ellen sure didn't hide her dislike for Priyanka.

It's so weird --- Priyanka is *usually confident* on talk-shows ---- but on Ellen she looked like a wreck --- no witty repertoire to Ellen's sarcasm/digs --- !!!!

When Akshat Singh (Jhalak and Indias Got Talent) came on Ellen, she was really nice to him... so I don't think this was about Ellen not liking Indian people, having seen her interact with many celebs.

That being said I definitely sensed some off putting vibes from Ellen towards PC, and it seemed directed towards her personally than ABC shows because Ellen gelled quite well with Viola Davis and Kerry Washington (How to Get Away with Murder and Scandal leading actresses of colour).

My personal thoughts: didn't look like Ellen wanted her there and didn't appreciate her arrogance, because I have seen her nit pick other celebs statements (she's usually much more smiley and like I'm joking with you), but not with the way she was doing with PC. When PC tried to take it down a notch (usually PC is pretty confident, but I'm sure she could even sense that this interview wasn't really going the way she planned), she started flustering... which is fine, you can't always shine. In fact I think this is probably the first time she's been (very minimally) put down on a talk show. I get the feeling her PR didn't prep her too much for this interview. Still, I think it will help PC calm down with the over bubbliness on the talk shows. I noticed she seemed calmer on the latest Good Morning America appearance as well.

just because ellen got pissed at PC's arrogance does not mean she has something against her, before she said the beauty with acting thing, she was praising her to the sky, but yeh ok fine, I guess this is the bollywood forum, so people will like to bash a white skinned woman over PC! u guys urself complain that PC is arrogant! And it is not like Ellen was very rude, she just used some humour and sarcasm!

Oh please Ellen is one of the kindest sweetest people out there. This is the way she is very sarcastic and dry, she talks to the kardashians the same way as well. She's the same way with a lot of guests (I've been watching Ellen everyday for the last six years). I love PC but sorry Ellen >>>> PC
I think it was just first time since PC's been on there and she was poking fun at her nothing more than that.

The tone helps you understand what it is! The 'it's a miracle you reached this far' was anything but humour. I would be very embarrassed if I was PC, it was uncalled for! The jimmy's make such kind of jokes too, but you can tell they are joking. You know Americans are known to be too friendly, this is the first time I'm seeing somebody talk like that- the other media & hosts have been very forthcoming. In fact by PC's own standards this has been her most subdued interview in US till date. It's not even that her actions got Ellen do this?

I have a feeling Ellen didn't want PC there, the way she spoke to PC,more of LIKE had to accomdate due to ABC.



PS- btw the 'I love India' was so fake lol it was like yeah sure India loves me, i'll say it too!

PC has been too at almost all IV's I have seen of her.This one was, well, a bad day!

If anything Ellen was being her usual silly goofy self which is why she's so beloved here. The "it's a miracle dig" is how her humor is, she didnt insult PC rather she was instilling the English wave thing she was doing. That's the way Ellen is very sarcastic. And if you've seen her show then you'd know that she's usually snarkier and more sarcastic with her monologue than her guest interviews.

If anything Ellen was actually fairly decent with PC here than she is with her usual guests like Sofia Vergara and Pink and Bieber and all. This is just because it's her first time on the show.

how was Priyanka arrogant here? This is probably her most humble interviewer ever!

she didn't depreciate herself, she was secretly doing that so more praise comes her way, it is called being clever, and that beauty with acting was completely pompous!
