Leave alone gender the reason i cant believe this is because both Ash and Ranbir are very cautious of the their public image and they are both career oriented.

Not everyone refuses to believe because, Aish is a married women. (People have already mentioned Malaika). Tomorrow, if a rumour comes on Ritesh Deshmukh, people don't believe it either. It is not man/woman. I don't believe Kangana-Hritik affair, in spite of one party approving it.

If one believes in blinds on Akki or RK, it is because of their track records. I would have believed in such rumours with Aish too, if it was an year or two after her marriage. (Affair with Salman, Vivek). But not now. She has invested quite a but in nurturing their relationship.
