Over the last few years Anushka Sharma has proved to be one of the finest actresses of B-town. She has given some stellar performances and worked with some of the biggest names in the industry. She had a dream debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan, in Yash Raj's Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.
But did you know Karan Johar was rather against Anushka Sharma starring in the movie? Yes, that is right. In a interview to a leading TV Channel karan had said that, being a very close friend to Karan Johar, Aditya Chopra had shown Anushka's pictures to Karan. Chopra still went ahead with Anushka, even though Karan had disagreed.
KJo thought that she didn't seem to have a very long running career in Bollywood and would fizzle out soon. Karan's perception did not change even after meeting Sharma on the first day of the shoot. Anushka on the other hand found Karan to be a very sweet guy and was shocked to know what Karan thought about her.
But times have changed as Karan had cast Anushka Sharma as the female lead in his upcoming directorial, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Anushka and Karan have shared screen space in Bombay velvet too before.
