Ranbir seems to be very close to his Grandads.

Is Mr Shashi Kapoor in a state where he can watch Ranbir's movies? I am sue he would love Tamasha and Barfi.

Nope he's not :( He has become too fragile. &he was never that close to Shashi Kapoor. He grew up watching with Shammi Kapoor. He was very close to RK.

PS : Yes. Shashi jiji has watched two of his movies. 1.Rockstar & 2.Yeh Jawaani Hain Deewani. When he watched Rockstar he couldn't even recognize Ranbir :( But he said, the boy is so brilliant, his performance blew him away ❤️😆 & Maine jo yeh pics upload kiya usidin If I'm not wrong He watched YJHD. There was a special screening in Prithvi Theatres & he was bowled over by the film & Bira's performance 😛 I personally like the Kapoor family except Kareena & Karishma for obvious reasons 🤢 I like Kapoor men's but I'm not diehard fan of everyone except Shashi ji & Ranbir :P

Whattay coincidence, I was watching sharmilee last night when this was posted... He indeed was a looker & charmer. Loved his crazy act in the hospital wala scene.

This movie is the first old bollywood Movie I have ever watched.

Khilte hain gul yahan and aj madahosh hua jaye re are beautiful songs.

Why is it is condition so fragile n cant recognize rk? Old age or kuch hogaya?

He was unable to find anyone to play the negative role in his movie 'utsav'..he initially wanted AB to playit but AB met with an accident..finally he decided to play it himself.that role needed him to put on weight which he did..around that time his wife was losing her battle with cancer and that came as a big blow for him..he never came out of that tragedy.though he did some character roles in 80s movies but his health kept deteriorating and his weight kept adding up..I was shocked to see some scenes of his movie 'in custody/muhafiz)anyway he is a happy man today with his grand kids and family around him..he has to go for dialysis 3-4 times in a week just like his elder brother shammi kapoor did..Hope he stays healthy and happy forever😳

His wife Jennifer Kendal's death was big blow to him and he let himself go... Becoming roly poly even before hitting fifty is Kapoor family trait anyway...

She played the mother of his luv interest in 'Junoon' even though she was only 4-5 years older than him

He was only 18 when he met her, 20 when married her, they did several movies and plays together, they were always together, I guess he will never recover

His son Kunal says that he has had a lot of medical complications, he had a bypass, a couple of strokes, he is on dialysis, he has been through a lot...

But his family ensures he's well taken care of, so that's good.
