Ha ha! How convenient of her to say so, She was kicked out after her arrogant behaviour, fake with that accent n flipping of her hair. She was taken off the show cause she was rude n arrogant towards Col Thappar. Simple as that.

they are more valuable to us..then i will say farmers feed those soldiers u n me
so that each of us can do our duties n in return we do nothing for their children n wives..
also dnt tell me soldier's die for us..wars dnt happen daily..yes a few die in war..
n they join the army knowing the risks involved n they know after their death the pension
the compensation will take care of their children n wife..there is enough respect n social security
for them bt what social security have we given to our farmers?
i dnt feel there is any logic to collect funds for soldiers its like oiling the oily head..
if genuinely we wish to help the helpless then we should visit those places where u can count
the ribs of children men n women n even their cattle..fund raising n financial help is needed
there..how many soldier's children has starved to death?have u all heard any such news?
no na?how many farmers have committed suicide how many of their children are dying
with tb n other deformity due to malnutrition.i wish we will stop being the piped piper's rats
to celebrities politicians and media persons..no the army does nt need fund gathering..
they have premium life insurance..government aid finance pension n other facilities..
when ur father n mother go out to their work n if anything happens to them the gov dnt
give u n me such pensions n tell oh ho we are sorry now that ur an orphan plz take this
20lakh from us n live a good happy life..ya some of u may say i sound selfish bt let me
say i sound practical nt emotional..i dnt see the dance of media hyped crisis..soldiers have
no crisis..death is inevitable to each of us..n is always a certainty ..only that some will die now

I used to like mita at one point of time. Watching her on the show was shocking and disappointing. She doesn't get a free pass to insult a martyr's father just because she hails from a military family. Parents get worried sick if their grown up child living in another city doesn't pick their call..I can't imagine how parents steel their hearts and allow their children join army and bsf. Losing a child is shattering. The least we can do is show some respect to the family of the martyrs. Art need not be unnecessarily glorified.

Wow! Interesting point about Army men being already well look after. I was getting emotional too. But you are right...all the army men in my extended family are well off even after they retire from the services. The life of a poor farmer(not all) is filled with lot of uncertainties. Especially in certain drought prone parts of India. If donations have to be made its towards these people who need it more.

I am from an army background and I can assure you that I never led a 'Lavish lifestyle' or whatever you seem to indicate by your strange post.

Yes, the government takes care of its Army and yes, they get discounts on everything. But do you know how poorly paid an Army Officer is in comparison to his peer working in the Corporate World? Getting through the NDA is far tougher than getting through a reputed MBA institution. Yet, an NDA graduate will be paid far less than his peer who has done his MBA and is placed with a multinational bank. And you are grudging that Army Personnel get discounted stuff?😕

An Army Officer seems to lead a good life, because they are trained to always be a gentleman. So even if they have 2 pairs of clothes on them, they will still be turned out well. That doesn't mean they are filthy rich or lead lavish lifestyles!

And this is not taking into account, that Defence Personnel are out their, risking their lives on a daily basis, unlike the rest of the country. If someone close from your family died and you get 20 lakhs as compensation, would that make you happy? It will surely help you financially, but will it help you get over the grief of losing someone close?

For a moment imagine, what will happen if the Army tomorrow refuses to guard our borders? If the Farmers refuse to produce food tomorrow, we can still manage to exist by importing food. Can we import national security? Can we get soldiers from other countries to guard us? I don't want to belittle the farmers like you belittle our Army, but what you wrote has absolutely no logic at all.

Soldiers do not live like Kings. Please don't sprout such unsubstantiated nonsense. Have you ever known anyone from the Army in your life? In India, most men and women who join the armed forces, do it out of love for their country. There are several villages in Haryana and Punjab, where it is mandatory for at least one man of the family to serve the nation by joining the Armed Forces. They don't do it out of majboori or to secure a government job, they do it because they consider it a great honour to be able to guard their motherlands.

Too much attempt to guilt members to fall in line with your views. SM or even IF is tough these days. How tough its to understand that a soldier and his family does lead a comfortable life in comparison to a drought striken farmer in say Vidharba. I have both farmers and soldiers in my family and have seen both kinds of life and hence speak from experience.
