Your next project is an action movie. Was that a conscious move?

No, I won't say it was a conscious decision. I signed this film a while ago, when I was shooting for Brothers (2015). It just some time to go on floor. I enjoy doing action movies. In Brothers and Ek Villian (2015), it was a different kind of action. It was more intense. This film has more of popcorn' action, which is what I like to call it. It is thoroughly entertaining and has stylised sequences. It has also got a lot of humour and fun elements.

I really want him to do a romantic film like Aashiqui 3, though that is unlikely to materialise.

Will you be matching Hrithik Roshan's daredevilry in the first instalment?
We've done plenty of gritty action, but I call it a popcorn film because it's pure entertainment from the first frame to the last. I trained with Cyril Raffaelli who has been the action director for Hollywood hits, including 'The Transporter' series. He's a French guy and extremely talented. We did a lot of hand-to-hand combat. I was beaten up and bruised so many times while shooting the action scenes.
