Freaky Ali Second Day Business
Sunday 11 September 2016 11.00 IST
Box Office India Trade Network

Freaky Ali showed reasonable growth on Saturday of around 40-45% though collections are on the lower side. The domestic theatrical rights have been sold for 8 crore so on that its not too bad though if the collections were 20-25% higher, it would be actually be looking to pull through as far as that 8 crore recovery is concerned. The bigger problem is the cost of the film which will either need good returns from other sources like Overseas, television and digital or huge overflow to come from domestic above the 8 crore price which is unlikely. The first two day collections of Freaky Ali are as follows.

Friday - 1,75,00,000

Saturday - 2,50,00,000

TOTAL - 4,25,00,000

The reports of the film are so so but it has a character artiste as the main lead and that reflects in collections. But even here if you compare the openings of Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrers then Freaky Ali is on top.

Freaky Ali Day One - 1,75,00,000 apprx

Raman Raghav 2.0 Day One - 99,00,000

Manjhi - The Mountain Man - 1,34,00,00,000.

Freaky Ali may have an outside chance to recover the price of its domestic rights but overall recovery is a huge task.

Is it gonna flop badly? I wanted this to work for Nawaz's sake. But truth be told, who'll go to theatre to watch him !! Sad but true.
And Mods woke up !!!

It will not be a hit or conventionally successful movie. Bollywood audience is too fickle for than.

I will not dismiss it as a flop though. Sohail Khan probably made this film on a shoestring budget given the cast. The movie will most likely recover costs. Nawazuddin is getting a lot of accolades and positive praise. Thanks to Nawazuddin even Sohail Khan's filmmaking is getting word of mouth success. That to me is not a flop but a win situation. Just perspective.

There is no actor like Nawaz in BW. I am going tonight only to watch him.
Not at all a flop though. Now that BBD is going negative, Freaky Ali can catch up in the coming days.

We have seen big movie stars having disasters but Nawaz is nowhere near that. People will go to watch him.

Thanks to Sohail Khan, Nawaaz's film is fairing better than his other SOLO films, See if it is opening or opening weekend, Nawaaz signed Sohail's film knowing his reputation, he hasn't done any favor on him, both have benefited from each other.
