Remember there was some controversy of Akshay and others getting angry at Comedy Nights Bachao when they went to promote Houseful 3 because they made racist comments against Lisa Haydon calling her "black African"?
Well guess what I was watching this movie today and there are 3 black women who are working as maids. This movie goes on to use these black women as cattle so that they sacrifice themselves and impregnating with the bad guys so heroines get saved. When they wake up next day Akshay tells them that they were infact sleeping with the black women because, it was too dark to see and they did "mooh Kaala" with them for tongue in cheek reference to their face.

Is this hypocrisy or not? They took offense to a scripted show because it made color jokes on their actress while they are guilty of doing the same racist jokes and making fun of black skin? Akshay stood up because these were his co-stars but other girls who are somebody's daughter is fair game?

So tum karo to chamatkar hum kare to...?

This is one thing I find really shameful about movies in Bollywood or even Tollywood - making a mockery or fun of people belonging to other cultures/races.

And, what happened on Comedy Nights - it's all pure drama - staged for more TRPs. I doubt anyone took offense in a TV show, it was all scripted for TRPs... imo

What made Akshay Kumar angry on the sets of 'Comedy Nights Bachao'?

Khilaadi Kumar couldn't stand racist comments aimed at Lisa Haydon

Akshay lost his cool on racist jokes aimed at his 'Housefull 3' co-star Lisa Haydon

Khilaadi Kumar is generally known for his poised and calm appearances off the big screen, but he recently lost his cool while promoting his upcoming flick Housefull 3 on the show Comedy Nights Bachao.

The entire cast of Housefull 3, barring Abhishek Bachchan, was on the sets of the show as part of promotions of their upcoming flick. While the format of the show is based on the AIB Roast, where insults were thrown at the cast at regular intervals, Riteish Deshmukh and Akshay didn't seem comfortable with it right from the beginning.

Reportedly, comedian Siddharth Jadhav's remarks aimed at Lisa Haydon, made Akshay feel that the actress was being humiliated. According to a report on NDTV, the comedian had allegedly passed on racist comments on Lisa, calling her a 'black African' at first and later on saying that she resembled a kangaroo (as she hails from Australia). This infuriated Akshay and he intervened to stop Siddharth.

Abhishek Bachchan reveals truth behind Comedy Nights Bachao controversy, says Akshay played a prank

When Akshay Kumar was asked if the reports about tiff with comedian Siddharth Jadhav were trIt has not been long since news of actor Akshay Kumar coming to the rescue of Housefull 3 co-actor Lisa Haydon made headlines. It was when comedian Siddharth Jadhav had made racist comments targeted at the actress on Comedy Nights Bachao. There were even reports on a tiff between the two all over social networking sites.

Finally, the truth behind the entire act is out and much to our surprise, Abhishek Bachchan, who was not present at the show said it was just one part of the act that viewers were acquainted with, the other half has entirely different story. (Also read: Akshay Kumar reveals wife Twinkle wished him "Good Luck" after watching Housefull 3's trailer)

At a press conference of Housefull 3, which was held in Delhi today, Abhishek revealed that Akshay had played a prank with the stand-up comedians on the show.

When Akshay was asked if the reports stated were true, Abhishek jumped in to answer. He said, "They went on a comedy show, there was a prank they were playing on the show. Unfortunately half the news came out. It was a prank that Akshay was playing on the show. In the show they were playing pranks on us, and we played one on them. So those reports are not entirely correct." (

Don't know what to believe because to me sounds like damage control. Abhishek wasn't present on the set so how does he know if it was real or a plot and how did he read their body language? Also if it was a prank then why wasnt it revealed at the end of the show just like any other prank? There is always a revealation that completes a prank.

This is why I found it hard to feel for the cast when the whole controversy happened, 'cause Indian cinema is guilty of using people other races as comic props.

I wish they stopped doing this in the name of comedy. It's NOT funny in the least.

Even in that movie Had Kardi Aapne, Govinda makes fun of that black lady and acts like she is a demon.
