Also people mocking Abhishek for being less successful/popular than his wife. Why does the man in a man-woman relationship always have to be the more powerful/stronger one? Gender norms are the worst.

Abhishek unwittingly gets a lot of flak he probably didn't deserve due to Bachan Sr and Jaya. There is something about then so unrelatable to people.

I am very revolutionary but I changed my surname. It's nothing. Imagine your kids remembering 2 surnames - my dad is Mr Boss sharma and mom Mrs Employee verma

The kids will get the names their parents give. I don't think it will cause any confusion. If kids cannot remember their parents surname then they should eat some almonds and get some Asian kid beating.

Boss revolution and women empowerment doesn't come from names and surnames.
It's a different topic, unrelated to BW, so I will pass.
But this surname retaining is like calling Bombay as Mumbai , nothing changes.

In some countries there is no paper work or charges attached for using married surname. But I am of opinion they should just do away with such things. In India you have parents name fathers name spouse name in passport. Thats too much information

It isn't about empowerment. I don't judge who do. To me it's no big deal. It's just my personal preference. I wouldn't change it for anyone so why should I ask my special other to do the same. That's her name since her birth, something her parents gave her. I don't need to take it away to prove a point. I have no issue with those who do.
