kajol is an actor, not a model. she came to industry as an actor and achieved much more as an actor than some plastic queens.

Ash has also clearly taken very visible steps to integrate herself well into the B family. I loved her very sarcastic & cheeky "We are Bachchans for all seasons & my name is not Khan." Comment on KwK!!! 🤣 It was EPIC & again, reflected how witty she can be when she actually wants to be. She totally stumped KJo & surprised Jr! When she wants to be, she can be a Bitch for all seasons & remind everyone that she is Aishwariya Rai (Bachchan) 😉

Bachchans and Ash, both are in Symbiotic reletionship. Both benefit from each other and keeping each other relevant.
Abhi is not so happening, but he gets some lime light coz of Ash. How long can he piggy back on his ageing dad.

Ash is getting Bachchan surname and all attention.

She is/was and will always be relevant/talked_about cos of her own merits than anything else. Bachchan is definitely not why she is still relevant.

First of all, her biggest USP is blinding beauty. Most of the households from/belonging_to the subcontinent(or even the people she has managed to reach outside) considers her as a beauty goddess. "Aishwarya lag rahi ho" "Khud ko kya Aishwarya samjha hai" She is unbelievably beautiful and that is always gonna be remembered.

Also just cos she is beautiful, doesn't mean she has nothing else to offer. She is really good actress too and has always strived to do great work in different industries, thereby reaching to more wider audience. And she has given some really memorable films.performance over the years. I was surprised at how popular Bride and Prejudice is outside the non-bolly audience. And of course Devdas, HDDCS, Jodhaa etc will stay for very long in people's minds.


Add to that she is an exceptionally great dancer too. So she has left quite a legacy of films and work behind her to stay relevant in today's times.

Like ponymo puts it The Bachchan tag helped her become more approachable, that sure helped her.

But I am really curious as to how people decide k which couple is in love and which is not.. do a few pics and some public interactions really tell you that much? How does one decide why someone married someone without actually knowing them? I have always found this interesting😆

Does a wife have to identify herself with her husbands name? Is she nothing without her husband? Does her individuality ceases to exist after marriage? Is she reduced to some body that we used to know?

Although I will never get married but I would never ask my wife to change her last name.

Ash is a self made women..Her career, her fame, her money is her only..But cant deny the fact Bachhan surname gave her protection when Bollywood cornered her over the Salman issue..
