For all the people questioning why PC is not there, when has PC ever claimed that she is the highest paid actress? It's usually Kangy- DP PR fighting for that top spot!

PC have never been a crowd puller! Why would she get paid more? Jai gangajal is a big example- there is only a certain limit to which she enjoys her popularity. Like I said in the other thread, DP in the last few years has been enjoying TREMENDOUS popularity, with people actually going to watch a film for her! So it is fair she gets paid more since she does bring out the audiences! If this year wasn't slow, I'm pretty sure she would've been paid even more!

I wouldn't call Deepika the 'female Salman' because Salman has proved how strong his 2nd innings BO pull is from Wanted onwards, but I agree with you, a lot of people on this forum especially underestimate DP's popularity. I first noticed it with Piku, a 32 cr budget film which I personally didn't expect to make over 50 crore, made 83 crore gross (that too India collections). If you replace a Deepika with another not-so-popular actress (I believe it was Parineeti who was first approached for that role), I doubt it would have made so much. A lot of people gave credit to Irfan and AB Sr, but let's face it, TE3N and Madaari proved how much pull Irfan and Amitabh Bachchan have today.

I love both DP and PC so won't comment on the rest of your post, money and popularity comes and goes (especially for actresses) and Bollywood is very star-driven, if it wasn't then Irfan and Nawaz would be making the 50-60 cr and Salman would be making 5 cr a film lol. Its great enough that an Indian film actress is on this list, seeing older actresses like Julia Roberts still on this list.
