A famous father can only ensure a good debut. But the rest depends on the actor himself. VD made crappy films like MTH, ABCD2 hits. It has got nothing to do with his dad.

Fawad's debut was not bad from any angle. He has become a heart throb. He has gotta try out new things to be a complete package.

^ Really? LOL. To each his own I guess. I actually despised the entire SOTY gang since I found them very overrated but Varun and Alia have proved their mettle as actors in my eyes with their movies.

Fawad 's nationality is his biggest limitation. Even if he did masala movies, I doubt the single screen audience will ever accept him.




Edit- I think he will do well in BW. He has a good fan following internationally as well, which will definitely help him.

Fawad has never chased stardom to begin with. He has always ben a very laid back and a choosy person, even at his peak , he chose to not do any TV show in Pakistan. He never wanted to be a bollywood star too, it happened to him by chance and he is just utilizing the opportunities he is getting. He might never be the super star according to bollywood standards, but he still is a rare piece, having debuted in an annoying and woman centric film, where sonam was supposed to take away the limelight, he made his presence felt. Even in Kapoor and sons, he stood out as the best performer in an ensemble. Most people know that how his TV shows in pakistan were women centric too but it was him who ended up as the best thing of those shows.

Why comparing Fawad with Varun these two are tottally different. Actually i think Fawad is similar to Ranbir Kapoor natural actors and multiplex audiences but no mass appeal. I cant give a comment about his dancing style but if all other non dancers like ARK and Sid can make people watch them then Fawad too. Right now Fawad is behind Varun but better then Sid, Arjun, ARK. Time will tell and Kjo will give him the best opportunities.
