When all this TV show discussions began on India Forums mainly during the era of kaisa yeh pyaar hai, i just waanna ask of there are old memebers here, how was it before? Now about Bollywood stars following IF. I feel look

in 90's and early 2000;s many pop albums like daler mehndi, alisha chinoi, T series heart break wala sonu nigam albums came and gave stiff competition to sales of hindi film songs. But now no private albums sustained.Hindi film songs still running.Bollywood unaffected.

Again 2000;s era with the success of balaji in Tv industry many Film actors started doing fiction shows like karishma, raveena , sridevi did lead roles in fiction shows. Other bollywood actors took reality shows and are still doing. But the charm of bollywood didnt fade

Now TV channels are concerned as web series are going to be the next thing, but still bollywood is always at most preferred entertaintment choice.

So no guranteee about future of Tv and web series ahead. So IndiaForums i found these days are very much focussing on projecting itself as a bollywood site more than Tv news gossip site by emphasizing more fiilm industry exclusive news and events , just to be like pinkvilla and missmalini. No gurantee if Tv serials will draw more public ahead or not. and Tv serials are rozi roti of India forums now. So transforming and it requires bollywood support.

But hatsoff to India Forums that it is still attracting a lot of Tv and some good amount of bollywood fans.

i would love to know how this all started. I mean which was the first TV show in India forums which was hugely discussed?

I joined this forum way back in 2006.At that time, this was not that popular website.My first forum was kasam se forum.U know what,in those days,there were not many members and most of them were matured people who were above 25 or 30.There were not much teenagers in the site at that time so there was no fangirling,no such posts like "oh he looks so hot","Omg he touched her there","Omg he kissed her",etc.,etc.,u know like how typical fangirls post.Very interesting discussions,episode analysis,characters analysis (even the supporting actors) used to take place.And the mods were unbiased and efficient mods.They were pretty strict with the rules and we're quite active too,unlike today's mods who almost disappear soon after they are elected.

Then slowly it's popularity started rising.Many members started joining which included these teenage boys and gals and early 20s age group people who literally polluted the whole site with their fangirling and fanboying,who couldn't tolerate a single word against their favorites and would start cursing the members and even their families. Somehow even the mods and to some extent even Vijay started supporting these fangals and boys because they were large in number.

Being a member of this site for 10 years,everything has changed in these past 10 years.Today I feel this site has become more celeb friendly.

Regarding ur question of how it all started, I heard Vijay,the site admin was a big fan of jassi jaisi koi nahi and initially started it out as a blog to discuss the show. Then slowly he added many more forums for all the shows.

Not actors,but I certainly remember one of the creatives of MJHT by username PD had joined.Dunno if she is still there.😆

She used to update us with the incoming Mayank-Nupur/ Samrat-Gunjan scenes.I once remember her telling ppl that Mayur had a very interesting song coming up and people were all up guessing all the romantic songs,it turned out to be a comic version of Kajra Re😆

It helped them know the reactions of fans,ask for suggestions and thus help the popularity of the show.

Those days there were fandom's and there were fights,but nothing as I see now.People used to write ffs even back then,but it was more subtle and had story.These days all I see is ffs more raunchier than even Mills n Boons 😆.They are so graphic that it creeps you out after a while.While still understand able for shows characters,its so weird reading for actors-who are normal people like us.Eww🤢

I completely agree with you now India Forums headed by mr vijay has become a fangirl site. i can understand because not just you but many people few years back also told me when it started it was a very different thing altogether. I came into IF world in 2011 with iss pyaar ko as its links got posted in facebook pages. I tasted the bitterness of this site when the lead actor quit the show abrubtly and i was furious for him lying and his fandom doing all nonsensical things to defend his decision. now four years down the line, the actor is still popular here no doubt but in a bigger context he is no one to make mark in bollywood occupied with relevant stars backed by strong people. evryone knows this open secret. What i feel is what did anyone achieve doing those nautanki then???neither the actor , nor the crazy fan base. I had been victim myself as it took toll on my studies which i couldnt concentrate at that time. I wish i was there during 2006 era and enjoyed that phase.
