No it is NOT a flop and I am wondering why everyone is in such a hurry to declare it a flop?

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie.

SOME SPOILERS.

OK...I watched the movie this morning...let me first tell you that the theater was almost 90% full and this was the morning show...only the first few rows were empty..

The movie is very very beautifully done...I loved the huge sets...they way the ancient civilization was shown...the costumes...everything...Hritik was looking like a Greek God...loved the bronze on his hair and body

As usual his acting was exceptional and no complaints whatsoever...loved the two songs( I wonder where that third song went ...that titli one😕) they looked grand on the big screen...

I didn't like the actress that much..I think Gowariker should have done a better job of choosing the female lead...the movie doesn't get any support from the female lead and Hritik carried the whole movie on his shoulders...

I also didn't like the fight scenes...IMO they could have reduced those fight scenes...I am not a big fan of action and I can only stand slick action like the ones they had in the DON series or ETT...other than that action is usually the low point of the movie for me...

I loved the concept of the movie and especially the ending how they made that bridge out of boats.

Over all...its a pleasant one time watch...especially if you are a Hritik fan a must watch...Hritik has looked and acted amazing in this and he has practically carried the whole movie by himself...

This is a very different kind of movie..Gowariker and Hritik both took a risk because this is not a regular period drama...and it doesn't have a very massy appeal..

I will give it 3.5 stars.

Mujhe b dekhnaa hai bahot nekami kesm k fan hon mein yaaar :( but i am happy everyone loved HRs acting becz frm da traile all were like ketnaa over acting kar ra hai hrithik but shukar hai not a single bad thing about hrithiks acting aur kyaa cchahye humein yaar

Dekh lo...mazaa aayega..even my hubby loved the movie...haan thodi different hai..not everyone will appreciate it...definitely not for masses...but as a Hritik fan I loved it..😳

Mohenjo Daro continued to struggle on its 3rd day at the box office, as the film collected around 11 - 11.5 crore net in India. The big growth was missing yet again, as the film failed to take advantage of the Sunday holiday and mostly remained flat throughout the day.

To give the poor performance of the film some perspective, the first day collections of Mohenjo Daro should have been atleast 30% higher than the Sunday collections. Sunday should have actually touched or crossed 20 crore, but it's Rustom that has achieved the kind of numbers that Mohenjo Daro was expected to put up.

It's been a struggle so far, as Mohenjo Daro has only managed to collect around 30 crore in 3 days. The film has been sustaining and showing some growth, but a big crash looks inevitable on the first working weekday - Tuesday.

As part of our IndicineLBO (lifetime box office prediction), we expect Mohenjo Daro to finish with lifetime business of Rs 54 crore. The film will just about recover its print and marketing costs through domestic theatrical business. Every investor will lose money in what could well be remembered as the biggest debacle of Hrithik Roshan's career.

Friday - 8.87 crore
Saturday - 10 crore (official figure not released)
Sunday - 11 crore (early estimate)
Total collections - 29.87 crore.

This is a shocker of BO dud for HR. No matter how many things that went wrong, it's still unbelievable that the film has just never took off. This is a serious beating to Hr' filmography.. not as bad as MPKDH flopped following many many duds.. and then Kites and now this one.

Lessions to be learnt.. just when he had his career peak in 2006 with D2 and Krrish, he took 2 years break and did JA.. but lost lot of grounds. And then again hige break and 2 duds in Ktes and Guzarish. Since then fairly constistant run with ZNMD, Agneepath, K3, BB and another 2 years break.

Now, we are here.. Just when we were expecting 140 Crs at worst case, this film is dying to cross 50 Crs at first. W*F?? It's not even that bad a film.

Now, the complaint from Hr fans for him not doing enough films is as old 10 years now.. major part of his career. And if he still wanna have 2 years holidays.. go and take 20 years.. why not.

Having said that, this movie didnt deserve such poor response.. but that's how public behave. It wouldnt cozt HR much coz he is always been in roller coster and he is sure to bounce back.. sooner than expected. But Ashu may have lost huge goodwill in BW.. He has the biggest of shares to lose as a prodcuer director.

So, as for star power.. yes, Akshay has beaten HR fair and square on this front. He is having a great year. So far, only only 2nd to Salman and it will remain that way untill Dangal Comes out. Either way Akshay is no.2 or no.3 star of year 2016. Well deserved.

Overall, it's a long race.. and It's time for HR to sign and shoot the moment Kaabil wraps up. He still has 10 years left in him, at least 15 films are to be expected of him.

Back to MD- Most who have watched it have liked it.. amazing.. it's still not getting the lift. After Monday, its too late anyways.

HAPPY 70TH INDEPENDENCE DAY, INDIA! We have come a longgg way in 70 years but this Olympics just throws the spanner in the party.. grrr.

AllBlacks - Spoken like a true fan. HR and his 2 years breaks are causing much damage. He is talented and one of the most bankable actor. He needs to concentrate on his core strengths.
BW needs HR, he isn't going anywhere for next 15-20 years.

Yep, I think he NOW realises that he must do more films, 2 years break is a long time.. one thing he can do is.. give his best, select the movies he believes in (nobody knows hit/flop formula), and losen up.. do fun films like JNMD.. there r so many roles he can do..

I think he knows it.. coz there is one complain he must have received millions times is just that.. do more movies. His performance is always great barring some MPKDH.. hahaha. And film can turn out good or bad, ppl like or not.. not his control. But wake uo, smell the coffee and go the sets, dude! If You have too much money, pass it on to us fans.. 😆
