As a momma if two boys I absolutely see no problem in being a momma's boy 😛

i feel rk nitu equation is much like the one between arjun kapoor's character and his mom.in 2 states.when the son sees his father being a jerk to his mother,he's bound to react and defend his mom,thus somehow becoming the man of the house who protects the mother,keeps check on daily necessities as father is drunk and least bothered ki the mom ate or not or eletric bill deposite hua ya nahi,and also controls the unpredictable father,maintains the image of the family.the mother here gets too dependent on the son,he becomes her shelter and protector from her abusive husband. in most such cases the mothers become control freak and insecure,they dread a girl being more important to her son than her and she becoming all lonely noone to depend on.this clinginess though not deliberate is suffocating,ur son is an individual u got to let him live his life.In most cases either the son developes a resentment to his parents which may cause permanent rift,or maybe he keeps being his mother's world as he can't hurt her,sacrificing his wills.sounds bad but it happens.mothers are human too they too can get selfish in some cases.rk is not particularly mama's boy though he disobeyed her many times,but neetu is too dependent and rk or most sons in such a situation can't just cut the mother off,many try to move away gradually.

Yaar... if I was seeing a guy and his mom posted a family picture of themselves that included me, on social media, I'd get a little tensed.. especially when they haven't made it official with me! She behaved like a responsible lady IMO.

And, it's nice she involves in his personal life.. I think every mom and son should be that close - discuss GFs and personal lives. Choice in the end should be the son's but I'd call it healthy if son went home and discussed stuff about relationships. But these discussions should be merely discussions - shouldn't be taken too far to the point where parent/child lose a sense of what is right or wrong or suffocate or emotionally blackmail each other. The parent should be like a guide or a friend - "beta, this is my opinion - choice is yours, here are my blessings 🤗I'm there for you no matter what, you are a grown up -you know what to do" type :p ...it's a healthy communication... not one where mom starts making faces/gets bitchy/wants her son to act in such and such way...no.. :|

When I'm a mother, I'd keep tabs on who my child is mingling with too :) ..it's responsibility one feels towards a loved one.

I read that interview and Neetu took pride in cutting his toenails and giving pocket money..Giving pocket money is still ok but cutting nail is weird u know..She is clingy to Ranbir and Ranbir wants to break out without hurting her much..Thats what it seems to me..

I haven't read /seen that interview . It sounds weired . Pocket money is far stretched though .

😆 We all hate our MIL's interference but when our turn comes, we would be a worse version of our MIL 😆 .
Kids now a days have their own mind. I don't think any child would let his mom run his life.
Neetu may be dependent on RK, but RK seems to have distanced himself from his parents. Living in with Kat was HUGE step and no matter what people perceive the cropping incident, I feel it was N's way of showing Kat that she isn't accepted.
But how do we know that Abhiskek- Jaya relationship isn't like that ? Or Salman- Salma's?

Keeping RK neeru aside, personally I respect men who respect their mothers. If a man can't be his mother's, don't be a fool to think he can respect any other girl.

And wives should never really try to snatch husbands away from MILs coz mother is mother. Nobody and nothing can replace her. It is unfair to a man if he's expected to totally ignore his mom after marriage.
That said, a mother also has to give her kids freedom and space after a certain age. The understanding has to come from both sides.
