Mama's boy rarely becomes a good hubby.

Don't think he is, but if a Mother is overly clingy and creepy then there's something wrong for sure there. Meddling his affairs constantly I dont know if Ranbir has given that right to his Mother, if he has then he has to deal with it. Neetu isn't like any other Mother, she seems to have serious control issues another Babita but a more extreme version making up for the 'grief' she had to face in her marriage by clinging on and taking it out on her son and his GF's is just wrong on so many levels, there aree boundaries that you shouldn't cross. Don't think she adds anything except more problems for her already problematic child a lot of it could be her own doing. He'll end up like Salman if he's not careful

What's the meaning of momma's boy?

The entire setup is super-creepy. Neetu used to cry & divulge her relationship problems to RK when he was just an adolescent. She's super duper possessive of him & believes him to be the perfect man hence her is "Raymond." She has a near asthma + heart attack every time he shows any inclination of being serious with any girl & starts off on her "Raymond" prayer chants as if that will ensure the girl will leave her Precious. All the whole berating her & cropping her out of from family pictures.. Now see, that does. Lol.


DP was the worst little s**t on earth when she was dating her Raymond & Kat was a sweet angel, the reverse happened when Kat begun dating RK. She is like one of those 60s mothers who believes her son to be a Demi-God on earth, to an extreme.



To Freud their relationship, so to speak, it reeks of a severe case of Oedipal complex what with all of RK's Neetu chants. At the age of 30+ if the mother proudly announces how she gives her adult son his pocket money & cuts his nails, I don't know what you expect him to be called.

I feel for Neetu. It's not easy living with an abusive hubby. Her children must have been her world. That explains the obsession. Will not go as far as calling it a oedipal complex because that's a serious allegation. But I have seen women who suffer from bad marriage, get insanely obsessed to kids.
As someone said, RK is not actually mamma's boy. He hardly abides by mommy's instructions! About the pocket money bit...you are being naive if you believe that. A man earning crores take pocket money from mom? Yeah right in mars!

MEB - I have missed that interview about pocket money and nail clipping interview . Please give me hints to google it.
Liliac - I can understand the space Neetu is coming from. Sadly RK isn't a momma' boy as he is portrayed to be.
