Did This A-List Actress Get An Item Number Dropped From Her Film?

"Item" numbers and special promotional songs are par for the course in Bollywood these days, but it looks like one A-list actress is rebelling against this. According to a recent blind item in TOI, a certain top actress is fighting against the inclusion of an item number in her upcoming film, and has had a long discussion with the director about getting it cut. She has apparently told him that item numbers are not his style, and that a track like that doesn't fit in with the film. There are two possible reasons for her opposition: the actress says that she's fiercely against them because they objectify women, but others insist that she's just insecure.

Either way, the director has apparently not yet decided whether he wants to include the item song in his film.

Highly doubt it is the latter though 🤔... Rangoon wrapped up in April. Simran & RLB are not "item number" themed films. 😆

Regardless, why does refusing an item number make a certain A-list Actress INSECURE?? 😆
