In the last generation we didn't have many stars that prepared their kids like now. Even though in the 90's there were two male actors outsiders like srk and akshay kumar that were able to be self made which the producers recognized their talents and of course their hard work..and coming to junior B and uday chopra it has to do more with looks than talent both guys are not hero looking type..it's sad that junior B couldn't make it despite getting so many opportunities but to me uday never seemed to focus in acting a lot..his family focuses more on directing producing..he did some supporting roles at the beginning then very few leading roles and the dhoom series..other than that adi chopra or his dad didn't gave him that much of opportunities..now heard he is USA focusing on directing..anyway but nowadays star kids get entry into BW like a piece of cake and their parents promote them through social media and pr so much..like most of them are already famous on IG twitter like sri devi's daughter tiger shroff's sister and many more..they are already in the news so much before they even made their debut..back in the days even star kids had to struggle a lot especially male actors like salman aamir hr ajay but now they get entry so easily and gets one after another opportunity that outsiders barely get.
Yes, it will get tough for outsiders...but then if one has talent like Irfan Khan and Nawazuddin Sheikh or Charisma like Ranveer Singh...then one can stand out...
Dp was launched against Sonam, who was a star kid...Sonam is gorgeous too...but where is she today compared to DP...despite Anil Kapoor making movies for her, no-one took her seriously till Neerja...even now, i dont know what movies she has.
So yea, Being a star kid will help get them an easy launch...but to stay there, they need more then that...not all star kids are beautiful or handsome...not all are talented.
People are not gonna watch a movie only cause it stars Sridevi's daughter or Akshay Kumar's son. They are spending money so they will go only if they think that movie will entertain them.
And no-one can guarantee a hit movie, else Shahrukh Khan's movie wouldnt have gone flop. Same with Hrithik...its only Salman's movies which are 100% doing good, and thats mainly cause its masala mindless stories. and mostly entertainment.
so same rule will hold to star kids in future too. Crowd pullers, will stay. other will be shipped out.
