Dishoom Shows Decent Growth On 2nd Saturday At The Box Office

Rohit Dhawan's Dishoom has shown decent growth on its 2nd Saturday at the box office. The film collected 3.5 crores yesterday and now stands with the grand total of 59.34crores.

Dishoom is currently the 9th highest grosser of 2016. By today the film will surpass the lifetime collection of Udta Punjab (59.60 crores) to grab the 8th position.

Dishoom showed good growth on its second Saturday by improving by around 55%. the main circuits of Mumbai, Delhi / UP and East Punjab all showed big gains. The second weekend should emerge with better figures than Baaghi. The second weekend figures for for two days for Dishoom are as follows.

Friday - 2,25,000,000

Saturday - 3,50,00,000

TOTAL - 5,75,00,000

Dishoom Grosses Over 100 Crores At The Worldwide Box Office

John-Varun starrer Dishoom has grossed over 100 crores in 9 days at the worldwide box office. Till now, the film has grossed83.07 crores (nett. 59.34 crores) at the domestic box office and 20.06 crore in the international markets.

Dishoom currently stands with the total worldwide collection of 103.13 crores. The film needs to perform well in this week, since Mohenjo Daro and Rustom are coming this Friday, Dishoom will lose its maximum screens.

Directed by Rohit Dhawan, Dishoom also features Jacqueline Fernandez and Akshaye Khanna in key roles.

Dishoom Decent Second Weekend

Dishoom had a decent second weekend of around 10 crore nett taking it business to close to 63 crore nett. The second weekend is the sixth highest of the year after Sultan, Airlift, Housefull 3, Neerja and Kapoor & Sons. The second weekend is better than the other hit film of the year Baaghi. The drop from the first weekend is 72% which is par for the course. The film has performed best in Mumbai crossing 20 crore nett in the circuit in ten days. The eastern region is poor with Bihar being so so while West Bangal, Assam and Odisha have just not collected. The second weekend figures for Dishoom are as follows.

Friday - 2,25,000,000

Saturday - 3,25,00,000

Sunday - 4,25,00,000

TOTAL - 9,75,00,000

The film would have crossed 70 crore nett comfortably as 4-5 crore nett would have come after the second week but with two big films Monenjo Daro and Rustom clashing on Friday it is going to very tough For Dishoom to add much to its total after this week. Basically the end of this week could see its run ended abruptly.
