Yes and No.
I consider myself pretty open minded about many things and what happens in a fictional setting rarely offends my morals. I have seen many movies and tv shows where the characters have done so many things that I wouldn't support, agree on or understand but that didn't make me hate the movie. It doesn't mean I support cheating, killing, raping, incest, etc etc. but If the movie maker succeeds in making the audience see the character's mindset then I can't hate the movie.

But, at the same time, I have disliked movies based on true stories where the director or the writer or whoever has white washed or tried to justify the character's wrong doings. Historical movies are a pet peeve for me at times because many of BW historical movies try to make historical personalities who have done a lot of wrong seem like some epic love hero whose love is a love you have never seen before. This character might have done a lot of horrible things which I do not agree with and he/she is a real person who lived in our world so trying to white wash their actions and white washing fictional character are two different things for me so that would make me dislike the movie.
I have also disliked a few movies because I really couldn't wrap my mind around the character's actions or motives. Ram-Leela is one example where I couldn't justify their lust filled relationship as love and I definitely couldn't support the characters in the movie thus making me dislike it (it might also be the fact I was forced to watch that movie like 3 times! )

ditto.Ramleela failed to show love it was all lust so when they died for each other it was not convincing.though I have doult on original romeo juliet too they barely knew each other throughout the story and romeo went to the party to persue a girl he likes from a long time and sees juliet there and fell in love

I didn't like the original Romeo-Juliet either but it was all about love at first sight so I guess, sorta understandable but the ending where they died still seems silly for me. However, Ramleela was lust at first sight and no one can deny that, all their conversations were centred around getting into each other's pants.

Nice question. My answer is both yes and no. 😆

Sometimes I dislike when movies try to romanticize any kind of chauvanism, abuse or take themes which require a lot of awareness and treat them carelessly. They need not be legally wrong, but according to me if they arent right and are still glorified, I'll probably not like it.

Having said that, sometimes I have a chalta hai attitude when the movie is heavy on entertainment. For example there are a few scenes in TWMR and even Bahubali which made me uncomfortable but overall, I really enjoyed those movies and I still say that I loved them. So that is there. You can decide which kind of hyprocite I am. 😆

Nah. I'm open to everything. Fine I personally don't agree with something, but it's nice to see a story presented from a different perspective so you can evolve your own thinking or affirm your belief deeper.
But only a few BW films evoke that response from me. I treat a lot of them as entertainers and just a source of fiction/fun.

KANK was a great idea in the wrong hands. I feel like someone more mature could have handled it better. I wish they didn't force sympathy towards Dev-Maya. Like make them grey characters--make all of them grey characters, the audience is fine with tainted, flawed people. But don't glamourize it and force dev-maya's pure, eternal love story down our throats.

I did'nt like htpmy didi is my world I would never involve myself with her fiancee whatever the situation isbut that's strictly my pov.It was a cute film though.I do'nt like triangles involving sisters basically.

Contrary to the popular opinion, I really liked KANK and connected to the characters as compared to other KJo's cheesy romance. It was a dark side of human emotions which was executed in a candy floss style and here the execution went wrong. I could feel for Rani's character as her other half was so perfect according to the norms but she couldn't feel love for him and clicked more with the not-so-perfect SRK's character. On the other hand SRK's character felt inferior to his other half because she was the bread earner and was quite boastful about that. They had ego problems. I find nothing wrong in the message it conveyed that if you dont feel connected to the partner you dont have to stick to the norms of the society. They cheated on their spouses but they had to separate themselves from each other with guilt after realizing what they did.
