Do you dislike any movie if the story goes against your values? - Page 7

I have seen many movies I morally disagree with. It is fiction after all.

Cocktail was a horrible movie, I only liked Meera's character, Saif and DP were both horrible. The songs were very nice, Pritam rocked!

Yes and No.

If the characters are layered and I get to see their POV and thinking behind their actions that I may not agree with, I'd have no problem with it.

But even then, there's lots of movies I have watched that I didn't agree with and didn't think much about liking or disliking them.

I kind of like KANK I would have welcomed their extra-marital affair if it was presented properly. Oh by the way, I don't rem characters names.

Kabhi Alvida na Kehna was Horrible for me... Both Rani and SRK's character was disgusting to see their respective partners were really nice and loyal and after all those marriage life they decided to cheat and in a sucha way! Even it was fiction it was pathetic. I really felt bad for Abhishek's character. He was trying everything possible.

Another one is again Kjo's movie KKHT that lame dialogue ek jeete hai ek baar marte... The guy Aman cared so much for Anjanli but yet she choosed the guy who never noticed her until her saree parloo fall or untill she became sexy 😆 hamara Rahul saab the tharki.

its also totally wrong that to punish a wrong u wrong too
by molesting a lady in the movie to teach lesson to someone else.
i hate fan i can safely say so.there is nothing to like in it.
such a film should never have been made.

initially i disliked kank.
bt later understood what it tries to tell is dnt carry around a corpse of
a relationship.so now i just dislike this much that without divorcing they
went ahead with their relationship.they both dishonoured the holy
wedding vows.this part i can never accept nor tolerate.
otherwise kank msg is nt unclean that end ur dead relationship if ur nt
happy urself u can never keep anyone else happy.

The message that I took from the film is that for a marriage/relationship to be successful the most important thing is compatibility. It doesnt matter how good a you are a person if you are not compatible with your spouse. Rishi was a wonderful human being and people often wonder why Maya didnt love him. Karan explained it really well in an interview that you can have the best husband or best wife in the world, but still not feel the love or passion for that person. As the saying goes, the matters of the heart cant be controlled.

Dev and Maya fell for each other because despite their grey characteristics they found a connection and love for each other which was missing in their respective marriages. I do feel bad for Rishi and Rhea but I cant really blame Dev or Maya for what they did.

very well put! If even two people are the most wonderful soul in a relationship to be sucessful compatibility is very much necessary. Kank tried to put that across but it somewhere got lost in the story telling.

The melodrama and lame comedy killed KANK. Otherwise it could have been a great film about human relationships.
