Twinkle needs to take off her child-coloured glasses and realize that people can have opinions without first ensuring that it can be or needs to be 'responded' to in any way. And it only looks immensely dumb and petty when she 'responds' like this on behalf of someone else.

So, one can express their opinion (that too hurtful one) on my deceased father but I have no right to react to it?? Really??
Where's my freedom of expression/speech or to feel in this case?? if someone else was reacting maybe we can say they shldn't but here we talking about a daughter and a deceased father.
I don't know anything about Rajesh Sir neither i watch his movies, all i know is Tina has every right to react to what Naseer said, and let's not forget she never said you can't talk about my father or have an opinion on him neither she insulted him in any way, also if we take the amount of negativeness this guy spreads into consideration i think this is less an opinion and more of bitterness, he sounds upset that he never made it to where Rajesh ji did although his mind he's better, otherwise he does his fair share of mediocre movies himself and am sure he wldn't have thought twice about doing the movies Rajesh sir did if offered...one can have an opinion but he cld've said this any other day and in a better way given the person in question is gone and can no longer answer for themselves, this was indeed in bad taste not to mention how much the timing sucks, any daughter/ son wld react the same way if not worse, and i really think Tina was still very sane and respectful in her reply.

Anand, Amar Prem, Khamoshi, Kati Patang, Aradhana, Ittefaq, Aap ki kasam, Bawarchi, Namak Haram, Haathi mere saathi... Each of these movies were different... If these gems can be called as mediocre, i want to know what are good movies according to Naseer?

Also, most of Rajesh Khanna movies like Amar Prem, Aradhana, Khamoshi had equal scope for his leading ladies.. In my opinion, it was with the rise of Amitabh Bachchan and action movies that the quality of films began to decline...

Naseer seems to be a bitter person... Atleast he could have spoken well about RK on his death anniversary..

Completely agree with you! 👏

It was with Amitabh's arrival that movies took a nosedive into sexism, violence, machogiri and all the masala movie trends.

Rajesh Khanna had continued the 50s and 60s trend of romance, music, emotional drama, as well as the prominence and importance of heroines role in movies!

Rajesh was a wonderful actor who emoted with his eyes, be it romance, desire, sadness, tragedy, he could express everything with his eyes.
He was exceptional in his death scenes, you could see the life ebbing out of his eyes in those scenes.
Anand, Amar Prem, Bawarchi, Abhimaan, Khamoshi, many of his movies are all-time classics!

Ittefaq was a brilliant psychological thriller, a unique film in those times without any songs.

Its really awful of Naseer to bash Rajesh Khanna on his death anniversary. He seems to have become very bitter in his old age.

Why to pick on Khanna?? Why not mention Shammi Kapoor and Rajendra Kumar?? Have you ever seen how third class Kapoor movies are? and since when Indians care about quality?? Not only movies but everyday thing in India has lowest quality. Even the videshi companies make low standard product specially for India. Deal with it, you were born in that system. manage it like all other Indians...

Mediocre??Anand is a landmark film and so is Namak Haram,Aradhana and Bawarchi..what exactly is he talking about?RK brought Salim Javed in limelight with haathi mere saathi.directors like hrishikesh mukherjee and shakti samanta wouldn't have repeated him in their movies..whenever BOLLYWOOD will be remembered Rajesh Khanna's name will be way above Naseeruddin.could have said something better for RK on his death anniversary.very disappointing..

So now people can't talk about or analyse an actor's work, cos he's no more.

Naseeruddin Shah seems to be pissed off but he has every right to opine. If he thinks Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan were mediocre then that's his opinion. Twinkle Khanna picks on everyone in her bullet point mediocre columns. So why can't an industry insider comment on other actors? Karan Johar should shut up with his one family, fraternity crap. He's part of this one big clique where less achieved and outsiders are mocked.

Cinema is art and entertainment. If common man enjoyed Rajesh Khanna's romance and Bachchan's action more than Naseeruddin Shah's award winning films then it's their choice. Shah has done ridiculous shit in the name of cinema in recent times except for A Wednesday.
