I love Rehmaan (who doesn't) but isn't his music so off in this movie ? And was javed akhtar drunk when he wrote the lyrics. What the EFF was THIS ??? How can these lyrics get passed ? Did no one raise an objection? Or has everyone gone tone deaf.
What the %#@& is happening with this movie ???????

Has there been evidence of white (Caucasian) presence in Indo- Valley civilization? Im no history buff so someone enlighten me...Why are there white people dancing in the background?

Don't you know. White dancers = increase in ticket prices. And white dancers doing belly dancing in indus valley = Jackpot!

Ashutosh Gowarikar is one confusing director 😛. Why did he name this movie Mohenjodaro? Otherwise it could have been one beautiful love story between a villager and princess 😳

Now I don't have much knowledge on Indus valley civilization but from childhood memory in history classes...Dravidians were the natives and were defeated and pushed south by Aryans? Correct me if I am wrong. So how come the villagers look mixed cultures?

Song is peppy..Only gripe is it just doesn't look from ancient civilization 😆.

dis film music album seems like repeatitive of arr albums, seems like heard it before. slowly d audio songs are growing, nice not bad.dis song audio is nice n seems video takes time to connect .seems dis song is sung by arijit if not wrong,if salman taken out song wat happens if tat is true, arr took it.arr music, arijit voice n hrithik dance are nice combination, even female voice also nice.

coming to song mohenjo daro title song seems like happy n celebrations dance n mohenjo daro meaning is mound of d dead n y ppl happily celebrate n dance, singing mohenjo daro lol ofc i understand wat they want to say there. sounds n beats of d song are sounding nice,it's hard but choreo could ve been better, nice attempt there.

I'm surprised by the response of some of the members here. I don't like comparing movies which are not similar but since few people have drawn comparsion to rustom
Let me add my two cents here

So people have issues with representation of a civilization about which very VERY limited is known. Ashutosh has consulted with Indus Valley civilizations and then went with the school of thought that perhaps appealed to him the most...
This is imagination of a man about a civilization which no one really knows about.
Since people have been raving about rustom, let me ask. From the trailor of rustom does it look it 1950 India/Mumbai? It looks more like 1950 LONDON!!! Yes we don't know much about Mohenjdaro but surely 1950 India is well documented and I'm pretty sure it didn't look as European as rustom is making it look like...

So people are now having issues with pooja hedge wearing makeup in Md. Yes makeup existed back then. Indus Valley experts have documented use of crushed berries and even gemstones to color and decorate their lips and kohl to line their eyes

I want to ask how many people objected to esha Gupta wearing garish red lipstick in a courtroom (compete with 70s coiffed curls!) demanding justice for her murderer brother?!

I perosnally have no issue with use of makeup and elaborate costumes and dresses etc to make a movie more glamorous... But the lengths some people go to pull down a movie is just beyond me...

Same people who jumped on HR when kangy fiasco popped up, they were not where to be seen or then became neutral once kangana emails were leaked... Those same people now are Indus Valley historians. Everyone is an expert.

MohenjoDaro is a story set in IVC, a work of fiction in a time, about which very very less is known.

This is not a history lesson or documentary

Cannot place the genre...the movie is olden times, the song and steps are modern hip hop types, it's a no for me. Honestly. Pooja is pretty but regal ? No.

Can't believe jodha akbar director is making this. 😕

Whenever they mouth "mohenjodaro" in the film it bothers me. The name is a modern name given to the civilization when the place was discovered. And now we have a song on "rango ka mela" on mohenjo daro. And the lyrics is as basic as it can get. Chand aur sooraj dono me dekha ...like W*F! 😆
