Well like you said that very little is known about the civilization and Ashutosh simply went with what appeals to him the most then why not have your leading man - one of the biggest selling point of you movie look presentable ? When you have caucasian girls belly dancing then why use up all authenticity on your hero's face ?

If you can allow him goldenish hair then have him clean his face once in a while. And the problem is not simply that HR is looking dusty, the problem is that he refuses to let go of his love affair with the bronzer.

of the things that are KNOWN it is an established fact that MohenjoDaro was a hot place with a lot of sun... He may not look "presentable" to you but many people still find him attractive. He's not looking glam but like a farmer which was requirement of role. The belly dancers were "background"
Dancers in a festive/dance number. Obv the lead would have more attention than 44 seconds of belly dancing.
IVC did trade with Egyptians back in the day as well... Maybe guests/visitors from there. If u want to go THAT much into authencity...but I woudnt take it THAT seriously...after all it's a BW made for entertainment not for historic education.

Also it is possible for people to have diff color hair wtc despite living in same place.
Brown people can have lighter hair, infact harsh sun bleached hair as well...

Look at real life Hrithik Roshan. He is half Punjabi and some part Bengali but he doesn't have the typical features. Looks quite ethnicitical ambiguous despite being 100% Indian
