It's the sort of movie that won't give you "paisa vasool" feel and full on entertainment . But if you catch it on TV or Internet , you'll feel it's a beautiful movie . It has its own flaws though .

Am honestly not surprised it flopped. Imtiaz needs to take a break and stop making pseudo-intellectual trash..The first half was utterly ridiculous and and though the second half was better, the movie as a whole went over my head.. Trust Imtiaz to complicate simple things..I'd rather watch 3 Idiots and get inspired to follow my dreams 😆

yes, he had the same conflicted male lead in love aaj kal too...but that was different as that guys wasnt sure of love and its importance, which is a common ocurance in today's youth. esp men.

Here it is the male leads conflict for his work and what he loves to do. This is also so common in India. where parents forces the kids to do what they want... i have an example in my neighborhood where the father wants the daughter to do medicine whereas she is interested in arts.

What Ved's family, friends and parents did was keep telling him that he has no talent. Whereas they didnt even know that he was talented in some other field. None of them know, cause since childhood he was forced to keep it hidden. Tara got to know only cause she met him in Corsica. Otherwise he wouldve kept living like that forever.

maybe...but he had the same concept in JWM too
maybe when I have nothing to do Il watch this film..teesri baar hi sahi...coz fans keep praising this film but too slow

JWM me the female had conflict, no ?

I agree with ranbirrocks, its not a paisa vasool or full on entertainment. But its about internal conflict and personally, i love to see such scenarios.

yes he did, but it wasnt given more importance then initially Geet taunting him and later him taking reins in his hands.

But in LAK and Tamasha, the conflict forms the crux of the movie

Performance of the leads were really good, but the film was all over the place. 3 Idiots made on a similar theme is much more enjoyable and relatable ..Imtiaz tried too many things and made a khichdi.

tamasha was really good.had they edited out the baba scenes then it would not have
been like abstract art n then a wider audience could have grasped the beautiful
canvas of tamasha n the awesome performance of ranbir.
