One of the best movies that I have seen in recent times with stellar acting from both Deepika & Ranbir.

It's a pity that the underlying message could not be brought out clearly...

Agree Tamasha deserved better success..

This movie is such a bore...everytime I tried to watch it...I couldn't help but switch the channel
Imtiaz sells the same story with different actors..conflicted main lead and a female lead trying to get through him

Thanks for making this post ANJS 👍🏼
Tamasha was a beautiful movie . Unfortunately 2nd half execution wasn't good and people couldn't understand Ved's character.
This will become a cult classic that flopped movie in future .

Also, Ved's problem is very unique and a more 'first world' problem - that I'm not doing what I want to do and its killing me from inside, and Tara is the catalyst who helps him realise who he actually is - is more of a multiplex and niche film, something single screen audience probably won't relate to.

It was personally my favourite movie from last year, having related to a lot of it from my personal life😊.I think Ranbir and Deepika were amazing in it - they weren't easy roles at all. Deepika especially didn't have much of screentime but really shone in the scenes she was in, my favourite scenes of he both of them being the before Agar Tum Saath Ho scene and the deleted scene between Ranbir and Deepika when she meets him at his flat (attaching the Youtube links here for anyone who wants to see it):

Thanks for sharing these wonderful scenes. They'll be acting masterclass clips ⭐️

i didnt find it boring at all...

yes, he had the same conflicted male lead in love aaj kal too...but that was different as that guys wasnt sure of love and its importance, which is a common ocurance in today's youth. esp men.

Here it is the male leads conflict for his work and what he loves to do. This is also so common in India. where parents forces the kids to do what they want... i have an example in my neighborhood where the father wants the daughter to do medicine whereas she is interested in arts.

What Ved's family, friends and parents did was keep telling him that he has no talent. Whereas they didnt even know that he was talented in some other field. None of them know, cause since childhood he was forced to keep it hidden. Tara got to know only cause she met him in Corsica. Otherwise he wouldve kept living like that forever.

I would totally recommend it, especially if you like more subtle movies, and like Ranbir and Deepika... their performance went above and beyond the script IMO. 👍🏼

As far as comparing it with Lootera, I think a lot of people felt Lootera was slow/too serious, but yeah both Tamasha and Lootera are similar in the sense that they both are niche films and had more of a multiplex audience than single screen audience.

Damn. I love that scene. before that song.

DP and Ranbir so pure and real. Ranbir so good. From Boring guy, to happy guy as Don, that switched to psycho.. WOW! What can I say. DP also so good for her role. And for me, she was better in Tamasha compare to BM & Piku.

you should watch it, atleast for the performances by RK and DP, i think both were excellent.

Yes as some said, story might be weak or half-baked. But its still a different story. Yes, Like Lootera.
