Her collaboration with Sanjay Leela Bhansali has always resulted in iconic songs and singer Shreya Ghoshal says the music of the director's upcoming project "Padmavati" will be loved by her fans.

Shreya says she has some "interesting" songs in the period-drama which is scheduled to release in November.

"The film has some beautiful songs. 'Padmavati' is set in Rajasthan, it has a Srilankan connect also because she was from Srilanka. The fusion of folk and larger than life arrangements and grander treatment is amazing. It is going to be a treat," Shreya told PTI.

"I have some very interesting, different kind of songs in the film and I am waiting for it to release and see how it turns out on the big screen," she added.

The film features Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji, the medieval-era Delhi ruler, who fell in love with queen Padmavati, played by Deepika Padukone.

"Padmavati" also features Shahid Kapoor as Raja Ratan Singh, the Rajput ruler and husband of Padmavati.

The 32-year-old singer, who bagged her first National Award for Bhansali's "Devdas", feels the director-composer puts in a lot of research in his music.

"Expect the same larger than life experience in the album. The amazing thing about him (Bhansali) is that he brings in so many different folk cultures of our country in his music.

"Everytime he touches upon that area, the research he does to understand the history, is beautiful. It comes very well in his songs. Apart from having a mass-effect, it has to be catchy also."

Shreya also feels that it is not only the songs, but also the way Bhansali picturises them which is amazing.

"He (Bhansali) is a poet when it comes to visuals, he makes it like a poetry. It is all nuances. Even as a singer, what sets two singers apart is the way that singer approaches the same idea in a very different way, or nuance.

"There is a signature style of adding nuances and it is the mark of any artist.

"Padmavati Very Much On Schedule,"Team Padmavati Vows To Release Film On Time

Now that the crisis generated by the premature protests has blown over, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati is well on the way to resolve the issue completely, get back to shooting and release the film on schedule on 17 November.

Sources very close to the project reveal that the film's producers Viacom 18 Motion Pictures have decided to go along with whatever creative decisions are taken by the director.

At an emergency meeting the filmmaker's three principal stars Ranveer Singh, ShahidKapoor and Deepika Padukone have pledged to extend all co-operation to make sure that the film is released on time.

Says a source close to the development, "Ranveer and Shahid are committed to no other project until the completion of Padmavati. Only Deepika has other commitments. And she knows the importance of Padmavati to her career."

"Viacom has full faith in SLB. Padmavati is the costliest Indian film to be produced. The losses suffered by the disruption of shooting in Jaipur would be absorbed easily into the budget. Viacom now waits for SLB to take a call on the new location for Padmavati. Then it's full steam ahead," says a source close to the development.

"And let's not forget, even Bajirao Mastani was delayed when Ranveer Singh has injured himself during a battle sequence in Jaipur. The film released on time," adds the source.

The very beautiful Aditi Rao plays Ranveer Singh's wife in sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati,

Aditi warms up on the subject of her co-star Ranveer Singh to reveal they had worked together ealier . "Do you know even before Padmavati, Ranveer and I worked together. It was not a movie but an episode from Bollywood that me and Ranveer enacted , Shaad Ali directed and Saroj Khan choreographed in Paris' Nuit Blanche festival in 2008."

Aditi says Ranveer hasn't changed one bit. "He is still an energizer bunny, a ball of fire . He says I used have chubby cheeks back then. He is right. I did have chubby cheeks. But he hasn't changed one bit."

About the hideous violence that her Padmavati director had to face Aditi protests, "What has happened is very distressful. Sanjay Sir is a true artiste and a responsible artiste. He would never do anything to hurt anyone's sentiments. It is sad that instead of granting an artiste of his caliber the freedom to fly some try to clip his wings."

Ranveer talks about working with slb and padmavati

Ranveer's next film is Padmavati, directed by ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The film also features Shahid Kapoor and Deepika.

This is not the first time that Ranveer is working with Bhansali. They last worked together for Ram Leela and Bajirao Mastani. "I have learnt the maximum from him (Bhansali). He has moulded me as an actor and shaped me as a creative person. He has been a tremendous influence on me. Some of the greatest learnings that I've had are by simply observing the way he goes about his work... He really is the epitome of someone who believes that the process is the prize," he said.

The Ladies vs Ricky Bahl actor feels honoured to be working with the filmmaker for the third time. "It's a matter of great honour that I have been selected to be his leading man for the third time in a row. That in itself is a great achievement to me. And I hope to collaborate with him and continue to make memorable cinema," he added.

Talking about Padmavati, which was recently in the line of fire, Ranveer said: "It is an extremely fascinating story... I am overjoyed that we have one of the most talented actors in Hindi film, Shahid Kapoor, joining the team this time... The way it's shaped up has me really excited. I have gone and seen the rushes of whatever we've shot so far and there's a long way to go."

I have no idea what role he is playing. But I was watching the roundtable newcomers and he was talking about shooting the film with slb and ranveer. I wonder what role he is playing
