actually sultan sacrificed a lot and even gave up his wrestling and collecting donations for his kid ..all are heart wrenching scenes !!👏

OMGG Yaar That Hospital Scene was just .. I just can't explain . And The way he said that Aman was HIS son too was PRICELESS . Wrenched my heart . ACTUALLy Sultan loved Aarfa more then him & Madly . Yes he became arrogant but not for Aarfa . He too sacrificed his Love (Wrestling ) ..Above that lived with that heavy Guilt for 8 long yrs when he had no fault at all . I never ever thought he was responsible for death of his First Child . Itw as cruel destiny of Sultan-Aarfa that they lost their First Child 😭 . But Sultan got punishment for that mistake which he never did .

Bajrangi Bhaijaan vs Sultan vs PK: Box Office Collections

Only two films have crossed the 300 crore mark so far: Aamir Khan - Anushka - Rajkumar Hirani's PK and Salman Khan - Kabir Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Salman, under Ali Abbas Zafar's direction and Anushka as his lead heroine, will have yet another go at the 300 crore club, as his latest release Sultan' has already collected 181 crore in 5 days at the box office.

Release factors in favour and against all three films:

  • PK (December 2014) : 3900 screens, highest average ticket price, 3 open weeks, no competition
  • Bajrangi Bhaijaan (July 2015) : 4000 screens, lowest average ticket price (compared to other two), 2 open weeks, competition from Baahubali
  • Sultan (July 2016) : 4350 screens, 2nd highest average ticket price, 1 open week, competition from Great Grand Masti from Week 2.

July 11 Update: At the end of 5 days, Bajrangi Bhaijaan had collected 151.05 crore, PK had collected 135.79 crore and Sultan has accumulated 180.36 crore. So, Salman Khan's latest release is 29.31 crore ahead of Bajrangi Bhaijaan and a whopping 44.57 crore ahead of PK. Interestingly, the highest single day of Sultan was lower than the highest single day of both Bajrangi Bhaijaan and PK!

On Day 6, PK collected 19.55 crore, while Bajrangi Bhaijaan notched up 18.05 crore. Both were working weekdays. But since Sultan had a extended 5-day weekend, during which business was at a very high level throughout, it'll be interesting to see where Monday finishes for Sultan.

We'll be analysing the trend over the next few days. Even if Sultan collects about half of what PK collected after its first 5 days, the film will cross the 300 crore mark. If it matches pace and collects as much as PK did, then it'll get close to the unbelievable 400 crore mark! If it collects as well as Bajrangi Bhaijaan, it'll be the highest grosser of all time and cross the 350 crore mark!

Sultan Monday (Day 6) Box Office Collections

2 min read

Sultan was rock-solid on Monday at the box office, as the film has collected around 17 crore (as per very early estimates) on its first weekday. The collections are very good after a solid extended weekend.

Single-screen business remained very strong on Monday, but the film was down at multiplexes - both because of a drop in occupancy and ticket prices coming down to weekday rates.

The 6th weekday of Sultan would be higher than the opening day business of all films this year - except FAN (which did 19.2 crore on a partial holiday).

Sultan has collected Rs 197-198 crore in its first 6 days at the box office, just falling short of the 200 crore mark. It'll cross 200 by the end of its first week (7 days) and complete its first extended week with collections of around 225 crore.

The Salman Khan starrer will become the 2nd highest Eid grosser in the second weekend - beating films like Chennai Express (227 crore) and Kick (232 crore).

Monday Collections of other major films:

  • Kick - 14.41 crore (4th day)
  • Happy New Year - 15.01 crore (4th day)
  • Chennai Express - 12.62 crore (4th day)
  • Dhoom 3 - 21.71 crore (4th day)
  • PK - 21.22 crore (4th day)
  • Bajrangi Bhaijaan - 27.05 crore (4th day)

6th Day collections of other major films (no particular order):

  • Kick - 21.66 crore (day after Eid)
  • Dhoom 3 - 25.52 crore (holiday, Christmas)
  • Chennai Express - 12.56 crore
  • PK - 19.55 crore
  • Bajrangi Bhaijaan - 18.05 crore
  • Happy New Year - 11.02 crore

Sultan Box Office Collections

  • Wednesday - 36.54 crore
  • Thursday - 37.32 crore
  • Friday - 31.67 crore
  • Saturday - 36.62 crore180.36 crore
  • Sunday - 38.21 crore
  • Monday - 17 crore (early estimate - read note below)
  • Total - 197.36 crore

Note: Early estimate based on collections from various centres. Collections could vary from actuals which will be posted in the noon tomorrow.
