There was no misogyny in Sultan, Aarfa always had the upper hand over Sultan. Just because she choose family over career does not mean movie should be termed misogynist. Me personally would have preferred Aarfa and Sultan to use condoms, still aab ho gaya toh ho gaya.
Husband and Wife winning gold would have been so awesome.
Still if Mary Kom in real life left her career for her marriage, why is Aarfa the character is slammed for this one? And Mary Kom is the one of the biggest example of woman power, much bigger than "My choice" females who think ridiculing men, matching them for the vices and overalll acting like a dick makes them Murat of female empowerment .
So what did the article writer wanted Aarfa to do? Drop the child? So if she leaving her career for her husband is misogyny, than slamming her for choosing martial life is what?
Also pallavi-ji, I am not directing this post to you but to that reviewer who took maternal wisdom as sone form of misogyny. As you have probably not seen the movie and you will never see it, not questioning your boycott, in a way it makes you a better person than people like me as you boycott a person who have ridicule the judicial system, while people like me are indirectly funding him just for our personal pleasure. Anyways that is another topic.
Also this thread is ridiculous, Deepika and Kananga don't need Salman. Especially Kanagana who have given super hits and blockbusters on her own with no superstar on her side. Seriously don't make me laugh by saying people went to see R.Maddy in TWMR.
Credibility of the likes of Parineeti would have definitely gone up by doing Sultan. But who cares Anushka was a perfect choice. She was brilliant .
