Well everyone seems to agree that his statement was wrong on many levels... But honestly this sort of reaction and uproar is embarrasing... I wonder how do people manage to get so much time writing these long essays... Apart from a film star there are many issues we are facing as global citizens and all the debate is about one statement of a film star who realized it at the very moment that it was wrong to say that... So tired of these threads.. It seems like everyone was looking for an opportunity to jump on him and rip him apart

I haven't read the article,

But I feel the issue here has been discussed to death. 95% members here are in agreement that Salman was wrong & should apologize. I personally have no hope for this man.

But after a point, the whole discussion is going in circles. People are repeating the same thing again n again. Everyone need to take a deep breathe here.

From the whole fiasco, 'trivializing Rape' issue has been brought to the front & we are acknowledging that the culture exist. That We as a society should stop joking about 'rape' in light manner effective immediately.

I agree with a lot of what is said in the article but he lost me when he said punch a Salman fan ? Now why the hell would I do that ?

How about bitchslapping the judicial system which seems to have failed in this case according to the writer ?

How about bitchslapping the judges and politicians who accept bribes to make it this way ?

Can I bitch slap some sense into this dude ? Who is he anyways ? Slapping a fan because they just happened to like an actor ? Idiot. 🤔

The writer i feel is more spewing his/her pent up frustration for Salman. Yes, he's a douche of the highest order. Yes, he deserves all the hatred he's receiving right now!
But the writer went too overboard with that 👎🏼
It will make us and him even if we go around punching every Salman fan for his wrongdoings.

I have gone on to say that SALMAN WAS WRONG WITH HIS STATEMENT. Yes he has few abusive fans only but the feminist journos target whole Salman fan club. Even Deepika/Ranveer fans are all up here being feminist but where were they when ALL INDIA BAKCHOD made so many regressive, sexist and racist remarks on women on that regressive roast. Big names from Deepika, Ranveer, Arjun and Kjo were laughing at rape/sexual jokes made on that platform but I guess it's forgivable coz it's them, not Salman Khan. I recall that jokes made on Arpita then too. Where were feminist then?

Just like twitter this place is also filled with hypocrites. Stand against SALMAN. - Fair. Then learn to stand against anyone for similar reasons

Saying this doesn't make Salman any less. He was wrong with his statement and public apology will be good.
