Rohit Shetty, Karan Johar will not work on the Ram Lakhan remake
The Rohit Shetty-Karan Johar duo will not work on the remake, but on something else instead.
Rohit Shetty announced that he would not be working on the remake of Subhash Ghai's cult favorite Ram Lakhan. It was reported earlier that he would be teaming up with the maker of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. However, as he took stage for an event for World No Tobacco Day, he made the announcement that he would work on something else and the announcement for that will come next month.
Earlier reports also suggested that Ranveer Singh was also keen on playing Anil Kapoor's character of Lakhan, as it was one of the films he had grown up watching and idolizing. Instead Rohit Shetty dismissed it once and for all, "We are not doing it. Me and Karan are doing something else. Very soon, we'll tell you what we are doing.
We will have to wait and see if someone else will pick up the project or it will be shelved all together.
