In fact me and my cousins came up with this awesome sequence which makes a lot of sense...*smug look*...First it was DTPH where he dumps his best friend for an outsider then came KKHH where he got back to his best friend and then came K3G where he dumped the girl who tried to come between him and his best friend in the first place...😆

You know I think KJo is biggest rahul-anjali shipper than any of us.

He had Rahul dumping naina (Rani's name in k3g) for some sadistic pleasure. 😆😆

Don't throw tomatoes at me 😆, but I just don't think Rajesh Khanna was that good of an actor and I never saw this movie with awe. I think he is better at romantic stuff. I liked him better as an actor in the 'Roop Tera Mastana' song where he manages to convey lust and romance just in his eyes, but Amitabh really impressed me with his subtle performance especially since it was in the beginning of his career. I don't consider a lot of his older movies as good acting so I was really surprised to see such a performance out of him so early in his career that is a foreshadowing of the superb actor he would become later in his career. Strictly my opinion again.

Nope not throwing any tomatoes 😆 because I kind of agree with you about how awesome Amitabh was in the movie...so what if he did not steal the show for me, but he still is second to none and has his own standing in the movie...Truth be told, I am a fan of Amitabh Bachchan the actor...I like Rajesh Khanna too and somehow I happen to like both of them at their own level without having to compare one with the other...Anand and Namak Haram to me are Rajesh Khanna's movies though!

Me too...😭...hated the way Pooja just intruded into their beautiful relationship...That's why KKHH seemed like a proper sequel to DTPH! 😆

I am hearing this for the first time...Anand is Rajesh Khanna and Rajesh Khanna is Anand...I mean even if you hear the name Anand out of nowhere you think of Rajesh instantly...Or so I have heard from whoever I got to talk about it...

I second you. 😳 This might sound a bit cheesy but Anand is one movie which fills so much positivity within me, whenever I watch it. And the credit for that goes to those beautifully written songs and Rajesh Khanna's brilliant portrayal as Anand. I adore this movie to bits and I think it's easily one of the best Hindi films to be made. Moreover, I'm of the opinion that whenever Rajesh Khanna is on screen it is difficult to focus on another actor, for he was absolutely compelling to watch. There are some films of his which I don't really like, for example Amar Prem but even there his performance was such a treat to watch.

Agree with you...Its difficult to look away from Rajesh Khanna when he is on the screen, especially in Anand...Its amazing how he lights up the screen from his very first scene...Though his character is tailer made, it still has to take a superb actor like Rajesh Khanna to do what he did in Anand...He took a dying character and filled people around him with hope...No wonder Rajesh Khanna got obsessed with dying in every movie of his after Anand...😆

Same I hated Pooja. Didn't like her at all, not even a huge Madhuri fan and I think it may have something to do with that film lol. Was so young when I first watched it. 😆
That is one ending of a film I would love to change.

Some of the choices here though 😆 I mean i swear i respect everyone's opinion and its subjective and all but pretty sure the day is not far when we'd hear stuff like Maggie Gyllenhaal stole the show from Ledger in The Dark Knight, Karan Johar stole the show from SRK in DDLJ, Uday Chopra stole the show from Hrithik Roshan in Dhoom 2, Silk Smitha stole the show from Kamal Hassan in Sadma etc. etc. 😆
