Yeah, KJo has definitely lost standing. If the artsy section of the industry didn't already make fun of his brand of cinema enough, the fall out from GTPM and then the Shuddhi fiasco settled it. After that, it only seems like he's been floundering to get his hands on the big guys.

I dunno about the students...Sid will run into a wall sooner or later no matter what. There are capable, even talented people who are struggling with no to very little on their hands. If nothing, by that 2-3 years' time that you mentioned, KJo will have a new blue eyed boy and he can hope for what John Abraham is in doing in the best case scenario. Alia, though...I think she will cut KJo off at a good time and float out...she's a smart cookie.

Yeah I think he more or less admitted a while ago that he gets into co-productions because creatively he and his company are dead. The problem is here he dangles his name & money in front of other people in exchange for Sid and Alia averting in the films. I get mentoring...I get wanting to launch new people and molding them into stars..I guess he does want to be known as the powerful talent launcher going forward.

About Sid, I think KJo himself is aware of his limitations...that's why he keeps giving him these 2 hero films. Somebody else will balance out Sid's weaknesses enough to make the film work. Alia should have no problem getting other films from other makers..if these guys are smart they'll start branching out now that KJo has made it obvious he's moving on to other starkids.

It was shocking that KJo didn't cast Alia in OKJaanu and Sid in that action film with Sallu...instead went for Sushant. 😆
