But then came LOOTERA

Women - Acting wise, Alia, PC, Kangana. DP though most of them worked hard to turn it around especially DP and PC. Alia was an utter shock in Highway but in my defense she was terrible in SOTY because of KJO and I blame him for not making me see her potential.

Men- Varun Dhawan 's potential as a future superstar. I did not see him lasting five years based on SOTY and then he turned around and surprised me. I blame KJO and his direction or lack thereof for this too. 😒

Alia Bhatt...when SOTY was released youngsters here in south(esp Kerala) were all totally smittten..because she was totally our type..the cute girl next door...n I too found her very pretty but didn't like her acting in SOTY..but the girl amazed me with Highway..one of my fav Bollywood movie...I totally adore this girl now

no great looks, just 5'10''... BBB was ok for me.. i liked lootera and saw the guy has something, a capacity to commit if the script is good... After lootera, i thought he was gone as film just about recovered the cost according to A Kashyap...Not because he was not a good actor...but bollywood is such a biased and nepotistic society i felt he wouldn't be given another chance...out of nowhere, SLB approaches Ranveer...shocking because SLB had worked with top actors or biggest stars only.. salman, srk, amitabh, hrithik and ranbir.. all well linked to fraternity and well-known...
i still remain surprised today why SLB chose ranveer because ranveer had done light romcoms until then and he had no starpower at all!

Rest is history... as of now, among the new gen guys, he is the most versatile actor imo.
Heard he will play a rapper in next... bittu to barun, bajirao to rapper, what next... love the range

i am underestimating Varun so far...haven't seen a spark as an actor.. badlapur not enough... but it's possible he will go salman way, preferring light roles..which is perfectly fine i guess.

Kajol...I remember reading an early interview of hers where she had her only in life was to get married and have a family. She said BW isnt important to her and when she gets the right guy she will just chuck it all, get married and settle down. I thought dekhte hain...but she did just that. Once you achieve success its really tough to let it go while you are at the top.
