If Aishwarya had the power to oust Sonam for one year, why couldn't she stop Sonam for the next years too? It is ridiculous how people buy anything the media makes up. Even Katrina was made brand ambassador in 2013, but she did not walk in 2014, and only walked in 2015. It's purely because the dates for Cannes are locked months in advance and they cannot accommodate someone just weeks before the festival. Moreover, there can be a variety of other reasons as well. It is very convenient to believe that Ash ousted Sonam if you want to paint her the villain. Be my guest!

Like you said, to each, their own. I will not believe some stupid speculation without any basis. It's up to you if you want to.

The person she is now was how she used to be pre-Hum DIl De and after all the negative media press from her BU. She even once said that when her family was dragged into, she shut out the media and didn't want to say anything personal. I think Abhi and Aara have made her more secure and feel protected.

Read old 90s interviews, she was a total goofball. And then this cold front started in the mid 2000s.

I think she was a bit more reserved and protective of her personal life, which made her seem cold. I'm speaking about how I see it hindsight. She's become more media-friendly and warmer towards sharing personal details post-Abhi and motherhood. Like I said, I think she feels more secure with the media now. They did tear her apart a lot in the mid 2000s. I'm just glad others see the warmth and goofiness. I love this version of her the best. She was like this in the 90s which why I was a huge fan. Typically, girl next door--very kind and sweet. 😳

Like you said, you would have seen the scary shit she went through after that Salman episode. It is no wonder that she completely shut down her chirpy, bubbly side.

But even though she was reserved, not once she was impolite or obtuse. She just minded her own business.. never reacted to jibes at her by fellow actresses or let anything else bog her down. She continued to work and focused on her personal life, the fruits of which we can see today. At 42, she is still doing big movies and is popular and has a happy and healthy family life.
