She was referring to star power here not FLOPS or HITS...Even if SRK has 10 continuous flops...he will still remain one of the biggest stars in Bollywood.

I don't think we can simply blame non holidays, content and star power if a movie doesn't do well. It depends more on the audience and their preference. I believe Fan has good content and different from a regular Indian movie, but majority of the audience rejected it. What shocks me is that how come crap like HNY made more money over a much better output like Fan 😆

But having said that I hope film makers and actors like SRK do not stop taking such risks again because Indian movie industry needs to strike a balance between all types of movies

agree .i have always said this wom is everything .promotion and songs help a little but they cant give u 100crore .big stars can only open a movie big

Its not a piece of cake but its not illusive either. Fan is shocking though.

That's the first Biggie that released and failed this year. most of them are yet to come. So by the end of year, we will have around 7-8 100 Crs plus in which 2-3 200 Crs plus.

I dont think we will have 300 Crs plus this year coz of the competition and clashes.

But yes, BO seems to have reached saturation point for some years to come. Coz to beat PK and BB, its not gonna be easy.

I had the same point to make - if you included songs in the movie, doesn't mean it will make double the collections. It might've helped it, but only a little. Jai Ho's songs except for Tere Naina were pretty bad. No one was excited to see the heroine - in fact Daisy was trolled.

it's not! A lot of people have to watch a movie to reach that figure in India. IT just creates an illusion that it is a piece of cake when some movie easily makes it in 3 days and some don't.
