In 2day's times, ek kissing scene kya dekh li to Censor Board ka khatra hota hai. Next time, before censoring sumthn these Censor Board people sud see some old Bollywood videos.

Still time period matters na. India had several movies in dat era which wud be too modern in dat time. Wat abt d women acting in those movies? How wud their family allow them?

there was british influence and many had an open mind. Movies wasnt that big time only for the elites

India has actually become regressive with its patriarchy nonsense. There was a time even in my recent memory when things were better. You could actually take a female guest to your room without any problems. 😆

Censor was under British right up to early 40's. The Indian's took over after that.. you can see physical proximity decreasing but some of the content remained bold, farsighted and revolutionary right until 90's ..

The downhill clearly became visible after the 90's ..On one hand we got liberalization and world wide connections through internet and on the other our prejudices became strong and we grew/are growing quite close minded with a marked lack of tolerance for different opinions/views.

Its not only abt British rule. Most of d crew n makers behind movies were Indians only. Who can forget dat Kamasutra was written in India only. D movies made in 20s n 30s were too modern for dat time unlike we have TV shows in recent times whi luks like they r of 50-60 years older. I wonder which Indian girl in those times wud dare to work in movies wid bold scenes. D scenes in 3rd video was so bold along wid dialogues.
