Its quite simple actually
What actor one likes, what kind of movie one likes is very subjective we all know that..I personally don't give any hoots about awards or critical acclaim, it could be the stupidest movie out there but if its fun and I like it then that's my kind of movie. But then saying that I liked so and so stupid movie on IF, you will get comments like "you are a blind fan and you can even like shitty movies of your favorite" or "your tastes are substandard". So talking about opinions or likes here is futile coz everyone is trying to prove how their opinion and likes are the best and the others are pretty much bleh.

Hence there are many that turn to BO numbers... a movie made so and so amount or in the range of so and so number, Actor As movie made more than actor Bs, footfalls of movie A are more than movie B. These things in their own way prove that more people watched a movie, more people paid for the movie so maybe more people liked that movie?

So why is it in anyway wrong to quote BO numbers?? Since anyways everyone is sitting around here wasting their time trying to prove their favorites are the bomb, why not use BO numbers to do so? That is the very thing that the Bollywood industry has been using to grade movies right?? It is a profession, an industry where money is to be made and not an acting institute right??

As much as people make when their fav actor is praised in paid reviews.
